I tend read a lot of PDF files for work and from my experience, they load faster on google chrome. So I use Chrome for work, but for my own personal use, I favor Firefox. Flock is also a good browser.

I like your second screenshot. I've tried Mint and I much prefer Ubuntu, but after I did the upgrade to 11.04, I was sadly disappointed. Then, after upgrading again to 11.10 (which is even worse), I reloaded the 10.10 version. I have a lot of engineering software that, if I had added them to Windows, I would have had to pay $thousands$ for them. With Linux, I paid the electric bill and nothing more.

Another advantage I found with Linux... I have virtually no anti-virus software. When I first tried it, I went to sites that I KNEW WERE INFECTED. I browsed them and came away with nothing added to my computer. No files to quarrantine... Nothing. (If I had gotten something, I could simply format the hard drive and start over.) You can load free software onto a thousand computers with no problem. (Windows limits you to 3 times on a disk for how much money?)

I haven't used IE since I switched to Linux. I use Firefox a lot, but have a few other selections like Chrome and Opera. I won't ever go back to Windows.

Firefox and mantra all based on security :)
And both are ok fast not fastes but ok

    *addad at edit*
Oh I also use those browsers because I'm using *NIX OS as ubuntu, backtrack and freeBSD
and Linux is NOT virus free nothing is and the security is only ok because the source is open so everyone can fix holes but the other way a hacker can also just look in the source for holes he can use because its open

Firefox here...although I do have Opera installed. I like the extensions on Firefox, even though some of them do slow it down quite a bit. I have my Opera set up for the most secure browsing possible, which limits the sites that I can visit when I use it.

I still use IE to test pages that I build, just because it's still the most popular overall.

I use Safari when I do my online classes and I use Google for everything else. Safari sucks if you don't have a Mac.

    Google Chrome.

Has always worked the fastest for me and has some cool features. I enjoy the overall layout of it. Though google is starting to own the internet.
