What's wrong with the world today?

I disagree - greed forms a useful function - it enables some of the human race to survive against the odds in times of crisis. No-one said the world was fair and theres no reason why it should be fair. 2 people with 20 oranges will survive better and longer than 10 people with 2 oranges each. This is basic economics - the ones who winge seem to be those with fewer oranges so go out and grab a few before its too late. The politicians are power brokers not welfare spcialists

 

In that sort of situation maybe greed does serve a purpose, but nowadays on a world scale that sort of situation is VERY unlikely.
