Well, i strongly disagree. I think anyone has a right to make their views known, even if they are disgusting like the KKK. There are way too many chances for abuse when you can censor 'radical groups.' What is radical? the KKK? sure. Anti-war protesters? In the eyes of many...Who decides?
I've never seen a person afraid to go somewhere because of the threat of anti-war violence. But I have seen a fair number of people, black, white, hispanic, gay, straight, too scared to go to functions or sometimes leave their houses because of possible KKK related violence. And they (The KKK) feel justified in what they do because of their first ammendment right to freedom of speech. Ridiculous.
We're lucky in this country. Not all the anti-war protests were as peaceful around the world as they were in the US. I think i'd be terrified to walk past a bunch of people burning an american flag/effigy of bush and screaming like maniacs. Thats ashame, the police need to do their job. Well a lot of what they have done has been curbed. Cross burning(thankfully) is illegal, they can't march down city streets with their hoods on(not sure if this is federal, or only local). What exactly are they doing in your neighborhood?
They can actually stage rallies with their hoods in some areas, so I'm sure that hood-law is local. They hold local meetings within the townhall. When protestors called for the banning of the confederate flag as the school flag, people were harassed...by the KKK. And most of the police stand idly by.
no, the real reason is pissing matches. Men can solve their problems by staging pissing matches. It maybe medieval, but it is civilized. Since women cannot have pissing matches, women cannot be trusted with a nuclear arsenal. It's a fact.
