They both try to manipulate our view of reality, the ads are just more up front about it.
Which is worse.....I say the news.

I used to watch CNN just to find out what they are trying to make the dumb people of the world believe and watch that amazing talent they have of acting like they believe the horse poo that comes out of their mouths but after 3 or 4 commercial breaks I have to shut it off.

I would rather pay $100 more for car insurance every year then to give Liberty Mutual more money to play more of those ads and fund fake news lame stream media.

Everybody wants to sell you something but, at least, the pharmaceutical and car commercials don't pretend they have nothing to sell you. Personally, I just don't see the reason to watch TV at all these days when you can stream content commercial free for eight bucks a month.

The pharmaceutical ads are a special kind of stupid because they always says "ask your doctor about this drug". Yeah I am sure you know better then the person who went to medical schools for years. If this drug was an option they would think of it not you. You would not even see drugs advertised for this reason outside America.

If you don’t watch the news, then you won’t see the ads. You’re welcome.

I laugh about things like antidepressants that may make you suicidal and that eczema drug that could give you cancer or heart failure.
I would much sooner have eczema...

    But the drug they're advertising
looks so worth the risk! For instance,
: Rexulti! The word EXULT is right there in the name of that antidepressant. How can you lose?
Although they do warn you that. Rexulti might make you want. to KILL yourself...

I worked in the medical business for 14 years and know for a fact that doctors hate when a patient comes in and asks for a prescription for something they saw on TV. Most times the doctor has to explain to the patient that the medication they want is not appropriate for them or has side effects that would do them more harm than any benefit they might get.

I don't watch that much TV anymore do to all the BS. I hope they lose viewers and disband. I get all my info from the web and pick and choose what I want to see.

There are some great pill ads on TV, though.
    There's an antidepressant called REXULTI.
Take away the first and last letters, and you get EXULT!

I always thought it would be a great job to be the one who thinks up all these pleasant sounding but meaningless names for prescription drugs.
