Yes, while I appreciate the attempt he made at civil discourse, and the freedom to engage in that discourse, I really have to say that Tishomongo is right on all those grounds. (Not gonna say if I do or don't believe in moral relativism, but everything else).

I mean, I think there's a lot of willful ignorance going on here. And to be frank, I find the double standard of being a conservative libertarian to be an insurmountable inconsistency in that belief system. In a cultural sense, than the republican's culture war and the theocratic policies they propose to advance it are the opposite of libertarian.

Honestly, if you are talking about a 'lgbtq agenda', but are ignoring the obvious anti lgbtq agenda, then you're not fooling me. You're not pro liberty, and you aren't unbiased. You're, whether you realize it or not, just repeating republican propaganda.

I understand and agree that opinions are totally subjective, and this is an opinion thread on Biden, and you may view my opinion as totally off the rails, and the feeling could be mutual, but I don't know you enough to form an opinion. I'm just beginning to form my opinion on how you feel about Biden.. You've certainly expressed how you feel about Republicans and especially Trump. I'm a "Never Trump-er" but I don't have a positive opinion of Biden (and that's ok). It is almost as if, you're defending Biden by countering with Trump being a piece of shit, and therefore, I should be willing to accept Biden. Where as, I agree that Trump is a divisive, narcissistic POS as well, you go on to mention DeSantis.. I don't know enough about him to come to a conclusion.. but, just from what I do know (Former Navy JAG, Combat Veteran, successfully governed a State, was overwhelmingly re-elected), he's head & shoulders above Trump and Biden... but so was Bernie and Yang in many respects.. but these are just my opinions.

As for me being "Libertarian" .. I'm just stating this is where I find myself, but lean more (Fiscally conservative, Culturally moderate)... I've voted Libertarian of late in protest of the other two party candidates.

 

This is not true or fair. I'm a care taker of a terminally ill spouse. Some of my frustrations about things in general could come from the challenging situations I find myself in daily -- however, if I walk away from a discussion, it could be for varying reasons - no time to elaborate on my opinion, no need to... or in this case, my intent wasn't to offend or irritate "theactualmostfallen" and just felt it best to walk away.

I've been asked to elaborate on my other opinions, and I will.. or try, but seriously... My opinions on here are simply just that. Often time not worth the time it took to read them... just like everyone else's.

Funny, because those are almost my exact same words I used about Biden, only I used them on Twitter, which resulted in a notice that I'd 'violated the Twitter rules', and that my account was suspended for life. And that is how Biden world works,

Well we could start with Hunter’s laptop… but that was deemed “Russian disinformation” (But, unfortunately it wasn’t)… the fact that Biden is supported by the majority of MSM should raise some flags with hippies – as aren’t we all anti-establishment? When I think of the “The Man” … their hasn’t been a politician in my lifetime that’s ever been more entrenched. Biden’s essentially become a multi-millionaire while working as a public servant. Another Red Flag. The fact that Biden’s repeatedly indicated he has not been involved in Hunter’s career or business decisions is highly suspect in light of the laptop.

I sort of view our state media’s treatment of the Biden’s as another red flag. I believe like most, that the media plays a vital role in keeping institutions accountable and preventing unethical behavior by serving as a watchdog for the general public, and think they should investigate any suspicious/unethical or illegal activities of governments, corporations and non-profits – without bias. But that’s not what I’ve been seeing in the past 10 years, and it’s scaring the fuck out of me. There is no denying bias, the handling of Russian-gate, Clinton’s emails/servers/cellphones.. Hunter Biden’s laptop.. Biden’s age, mental agility, shaking hands with thin-air, and not being able to find his way off a stage, or can only speak with a teleprompter are serious concerns – is he a mere puppet? One could say as Presidents they’re all puppets to their base and donors, but I’ve begun to believe most politicians no longer serve the people, and the media is bias and owned by big corporations which the government now serves (not the people). Therefore, we no longer get to the truth, and there are always too many facts (on any given topic).. so I try and rely on my truths… but in general, we are left to speculate and form our own opinions. My opinion is that the media protects Biden.

In regard to evidence of lies and corruption, and actual facts… I don’t believe we get the facts; however, if we look at past statements, actions and decisions – Biden is morally corrupt in that he completely flip flops on big issues like – Gay marriage, Crime/Racism, China - and therefore, I consider him a panderer and a pathological liar. (Which he’s proven over & over to by a lying, plagiarist).. but again, I digress.

Specific concerns of corruption from his past can be linked to Biden’s support for Big tech and Financial institutions over working-class Americans. His career was bankrolled by the credit card industry. He delivered for it by spearheading a bankruptcy bill that made it harder for Americans to reduce their debts and helped cause the student debt and financial crisis. He not only authored and voted for that bill, he split with Barack Obama and led the battle to vote down Democratic amendments.

Biden promised his Wall Street donors that “nothing would fundamentally change” for them if he became president. Then Wall Street went on to raising huge money for his campaign. Most Americans, who get ripped off by the financial sector on a daily basis, aren’t looking for a candidate who has made their life harder.

The day Biden announced his campaign, he went straight to a fundraiser co-hosted by a major health insurance corporation. Biden then refused to sign a pledge to reject money from insurance and pharma execs and continues to raise money from healthcare industry donors. His campaign was bankrolled by a super Pac run by healthcare lobbyists. These donors got a healthcare proposal that preserves the power of the insurance industry and leaves 10 million Americans uninsured.

On climate change, which I’m not a big proponent of, Biden signed a pledge not to take money from the fossil fuel industry, then broke his promise. Right after a CNN town hall on climate change, he held a fundraiser hosted by the founder of a fossil fuel conglomerate. Opinion | Biden’s Not-So-Clean Energy Transition

There are plenty of other examples like on housing and social security. Big real estate moguls are played a major role in Biden’s campaign. He has no comprehensive housing plan. When he pushed for cuts to Social Security (for 40 years), was he serving donors or his constituents?

I also have general concerns regarding our role in Ukraine. As the leader of the free world, we should be negotiating for the peaceful end to this conflict.. instead, we’re funding another endless fucking war, that could any day escalate to a world war – which as a retired Vet, you can imagine I’m opposed to. But why? Is it just another launder?

Finally, I think more information regarding “The Big Guy” will come out.., as it’s my opinion that the Biden’s have been corrupt in their dealings with China, Ukraine, Romania, Russia and Africa.. but he will probably be dead when it does.
