Biden is funny. He spoke to Jimmy Dore.

He is just too old to be in that position, whats needed is an intelligent man/woman between 45 & 60 who has a great speaking presence and is a quick thinker. Biden has none of these qualities. Really Trump and Biden are very similar, although Trump seems to think he can bully his way through anyone who has different ideas to himself. He also has an aversion to paying TAX One thing nearly all USA Presidents have is the ability to vastly increase their own wealth whilst in office. Stand up and be counted Bill!

Where are these wunderkinds? In 2020, over two dozen Dems had their hats in the ring, but Biden emerged as front runner. And Trump, a little less than four years younger, was the Republican nominee. Biden is now 80, Trump 76. The reason Biden is president is that the other candidates didn't have the broad appeal to moderates that he did. Whether or not some younger person will step up to challenge Biden remains to be seen. But given the polarization of our national politics, it's hard to find candidates with broad appeal outside the party base--which isn't enough to win elections. "A great speaking presence and is a quick thinker" are qualities for good speechifying, but don't necessarily correlate with good character, policy judgment and empathy. I want substance, not show.

Unfortunately substance won't get as many votes as show and you're aware of it. It's most definitely not why t**** ever got as many as he did. I wish it weren't that way either.
The Democrats seem to have to push a moderate to appeal to the "average American" because the voters don't want to vote for a Socialist. (I'm exaggerating to make a point.)
But the Republicans seem to have to push an off the rails wacko to rile the hatists off their asses to vote. Partisanship here is not strongly relatively relevant.
I'm a bit resentful campaigning is more a commercial than a job interview. From the voters' perspective there are so many candidates, only so much time to consider each, and so much information to vet; and we have other things to do in life. From the candidates' perspective, they have to maximize what resources they have at hand to win an election. A college style lecture or Power Point outlining qualifications and stating positions won't hit as hard as bragging in a commercial about how more American you are than that other asshole. But maybe I digress.
I like Biden and he's not a disastrous President but there could've been a better choice and with all due respect to him I hope there's another Democratic Presidential candidate in 2024. At this point I'm willing to accept if they lean right if it means avoiding the dysfunction and toxicity of the Republican Party. We know Dennis Kasich will be nowhere to be found in the slate of candidates.

Again, who are the viable candidates? Maybe some will emerge once Biden throws his hat in the ring and the contest gets underway. I hope we can rule out some of the old stalwarts. If Biden is too old, surely the Bern is. And please, not Elizabeth Warren again! Not a chance there, despite the attraction for progressives. To my way of thinking, anybody would be better than Trump or DeSantis, but we have to attract enough voters in enough states to carry the electoral college. Biden also carries the albatross of Kamela Harris, who will be on voters' minds, given his age.

I see your point and I don't really have an answer either. Could be one of the governors. The last several before Obama were. I just pray whoever it ultimately is has actual political experience and doesn't just think they do.

He does a good job looking after Hunter. All fathers should take care of their son, I don't feel like their business deals, are on the up and up, but what politician is?
He has made enough money, he needs to retire and sniff little girls, and eat ice cream cones.

What about "their" business deals do you "feel" aren't on the up and up? How do you think they compare with the Trump family's business dealings? It's probably going to be a binary choice, you know.

You imply Biden is in it for the money? What about Trump? Do you think he's running to serve his country? Trump is just six years younger than Biden. Maybe time for him to retire, too? Sniff little girls? Tsk, tsk. As for girl sniffing, Trump has bragged about doing a lot worse to females in the Access Hollywood tape. So you seem to have something of a double standard in your political smear job.

I'd like to see the Dems offer a different candidate in 2024. Overall I think Biden has done a good job repairing Trump's damage, but I wish he was at least 10 years younger. Don't think he's up to 4 more years, but I'd still vote for him over anyone the GOP offers. But that's not saying much since I plan to never vote for a Republican.

There are Republicans I would consider for the Presidency but that list is very short. John Kasich, Ron Paul and LIsa Murkowski are a few that come to my mind, but to be honest George W. looks like Dennis Kucinich compared to the shit coming from right field. It fucking boggles and sickens me that to this day mainstream Republicans support the crude, incompetent, dangerous, under several legal and civil lawsuits and volatile (but charismatic to the most ignorant, base and ugly of human nature) t**** only because supporting him is advantageous to their party. Did no one learn any goddamn fucking lesson from Joe McCarthy or Richard Nixon? I don't know if today's Republicans are as a whole extremely evil or extremely stupid.
To my dying day I will bang my head against a wall in utter perplexity. When the aliens come to try to destroy humanity and I try my best to advocate for us, but then they bring up the 2016 USA Presidential elections, I won't be able to do anything more than step back, hang my head sheepishly, and say, "have at it, Xxyxx!"

I'd have to opine that 1). Trump most certainly isn't 'stupid'. 2). Never really heard or read anything that would indicate or even imply that he is racist. 3). 'Sexist' - yeah, probably falls firmly into that category. 4). 'Arsehole' - I'd have to admit he's like many other super-wealthy people, sure, he can be an 'arsehole', but he also can be decent when decency is called upon. I see his biggest problem is his unproductive use of the media (whether it be mainstream, cable, or internet social sites). He doesn't seem to be able to help himself as some of the 'dumb ass' things he's been known to say. Otherwise, personally, I firmly believe that we, as a country, were far better off during his time in office than we are now.

Have you been living in a cave? "Stupid" is too broad a label for possibly the shrewdest crime boss in U.S. history, but his comment in the Fourth of July speech in 2019 crediting the U.S. revolutionary forces with taking over the airports suggests a certain deficiency in intellect and education. President Trump Said Revolutionary War Troops 'Took Over the Airports' in Fourth of July Speech Here are some of his other dumbfounding statements.
The 75 most ridiculous Trump quotes: the best Donald Trump quotes revealed
The 45 most incoherent lines from Donald Trump's rambling Rose Garden speech | CNN Politics
Never heard anything that wold indicate or even imply that he is racist? How 'bout his remarks about Elaine Chao, his former Secretary of Transportation who happens to be married to his Republican critic Mitch McConnell: his China-loving wife Coco Chow, he called her, and spoke about her "BIG relationships with China - A HISTORIC conflict of interest like no other!" Trump's comments on Elaine Chao, Mitch McConnell draw fierce criticism Trump revives racist attack on Elaine Chao while attacking her purported 'big relationship with China' (She came over here as a kid from Taiwan) Or his comment that some of the white supremacist tiki torch carriers at Charlottesville were "very fine people". Or his hosting of Anti-Semitic guests Kanye West and Nick Fuentes. Not necessarily racist, just "biz-a-ness", as they say in the Mafia. As for being "far better off during his time in office than we are now",where were you during his last months in office, when he was pushing hydroxycholorquine, bleach, ivermectin, and denial as responses to Covid? Or his election denialism, which he's still pushing. Or the insurrection that he encouraged on January 6, 2021? I haven't seen such blind loyalty and denial of reality since Marshall Alllewhite got his Heaven's Gate cult followers to drink the kool aid back in '97.

T.D.S. in evidence in this thread..... Our President, well he is not his own man, taking marching orders from Ron Klain & Dr. Jill.

The previous President is an ass, but he is certainly his own man. Who could ever think he takes orders from Putin.

    Evident? Is it ever.

Quite right about Trump being his own man.
