    I have gotten into some good fights on here. One guy (can't remember the name but he was a regular douche) even blocked me because I was an "ignorant **** bitch." But I thought it was great...no one ever called me an ignorant **** bitch before!

    A lot of people have come and gone over the years, and yes, many have come back.

    It is a lot slower here as ppl now have fuckbook pages, twitter accounts and there are so many more sites on the web now to attract ppl. Even I post on a couple of other sites, including the Huffington Post. If ur nice I might even tell ya my handle on there! And believe me, I get censored a LOT THERE! ;)

    Of course the other big site where I'm webmaster is ICMag.com. Actually I've been webmaster there on and off for 8 years now. I keep having to quit doing that so I can pay more attention to my other websites including HF of course.

    I've found that when I'm not around things tend to go to shit around here... ;)

    And then, when I leave icmag, things go to shit there! Just had to save that site once again this year. Last webmaster fucked it up big time (blocked all the search engines for one thing!)

    But we have an EXCELLENT mod team now. They're doin' such a great job, I don't have to mod. That's not my job anyway. I hate having to ban ppl (I know some of you won't believe that).

    Yes RT isn't what it used to be, and I suppose y'all can blame me for that. But you gotta admit things got way outta hand there, nearly on a daily basis. It may have been fun for you guys, but a huge headache for mods.

    But we have other things that have done well since. I don't know how many of you have checked out the Good Earth forum (yes, now it's a forum, not just a thread). Yes, it's full of old hippies, and the vibe is very cool.

    I guess most of the ppl commenting in this thread aren't hippies, hence the comments about them. I've tried to keep the site inviting for non-hippies. The theme of this site isn't just hippies, it's whatever YOU think is HIP. So anyone with an alternative view is welcome (so long as they follow the guidelines).

    Anyway, long boring post, I know...

    But it is good to see some old-timers are still around (under other names, which I can never keep track of!)

    Oh, one more thing... Just this week I've noticed the search engines are bring us many more ppl suddenly. It hasn't been like this in YEARS! I hope that continues. So stick around, things may liven up here soon.

    I think I joined in 99,but not sure. I'm still here. The fabulous flame wars of a few years ago died out,but were sure fun to watch happen. I think this joint was green instead of purple before the re-org in 2004.

    Yeah, I've noticed that we've had a lot more people here that are actually sticking around for more than a few days...I think that's cool.

    Things did get outta hand here for a while...that's why I took a little hiatus. I really like the way things are now...we have some new cool people making their way in and we have a lot of regulars. I think a lot of the topics are much better now, too.

    I repped Hipforums on a recent blog of mine that was then reposted on another pretty huge network. No need to thank me. Anyway, that's so cool that you're at ICmag!

    I actually think things are pretty nice here now. Not as busy but pretty comfy.
