My mother had a round, Glass Decoration of such. It was full with Silver colour, sparkling Sand. My mother said, Fairies live inside this (so, I did have many of hours, looking into this Decoration). We were certain also, an abandoned Mine did contain Treasure and Gold Swords. Of course, we were disappointed (( but found a Helmet, with blood over it and ground, that made us run screaming.
That the other planets in the solar system, our sun and the moon all had influence over what kind of person I was. That one of my sister's dolls was harbouring evil spirits That some people could communicate with rocks and plants That certain clothes were bad luck to wear That I was chosen for some fantastic purpose That I could spend the whole of my adult life building wells in Africa or otherwise travelling around helping those in need And I believed in palmistry, graphology, crystal healing and auras Oh, and when I was 5 I believed that I would stay 5 forever, so when my 6th birthday came along I refused to participate, thinking it all a conspiracy. I maintained that I was 5 until I was about 8
Wow...I'm searching my memory and coming up with nothing. Did I really not believe anything fantastical when I was little? No matter, I'm making up for it now!
No worries, same here at first I guess believing in heaven and hell as a kid isn't that weird at all.
when I was little i thought I could jump off any height with an umbrella and a parachute down to safety with it, thankfully i only tried my deck first; didnt die, just broke my ankle lol
Whoa! I remember! I believed their was a tiny little band behind the decorative-only doors on the console stereo that played all the music. I think one of my older brothers told me this. My younger brother and I would lay on the floor, listening to the music and trying to peer into the decorative-only louvers on the doors. We tried to pry the doors open, too.
a childhood friend of mine went to hospital 3 times for trying to fly like superman off his picnic table most people would have figured out it doesnt work after just one try
I remember passing a rock quarry as a kid, and when I asked what happened there my Dad told me it was where a meteor hit the year I was born. For years every time I saw a rock quarry I thought I thought I was looking at a crater...
I believed from my uncle that the 'it' was real and would visit me if i didn't start acting like a girl, since i thought i was a boy lol If i was disrespectful to my elders i would get run over by a bus I believed good things only happen to good people God was real Love existed Happily ever afters princes/knight in shinning bullshit Always trust your family with everything
I believed that sitting too close to the TV would make me go blind. When we rearranged our living room so that the TV was closer, I panicked and threw a fit because I didn't want to go blind. I also believed that if I put the covers over my head at night that the boogey man wouldn't be able to see me so he'd go away
my uncle had a dragon under the steps that breathed fire.. he was a welder it took us til the age of 13 to figure out it was a flame thrower. We still told the other kids it was a dragon.
He still haunts me... Hasn't gotten me yet, but I have a guard cat now, so I think he keeps his distance.
actually, your grandparents did live in their heat/ac system. they were very poor at the time and had to rent out the rest of the house, so they just stayed in the ductwork. same here. i can't remember anything entertaining, just the usual heaven/hell/jesus loves you, your votes matter, etc. i don't even remember believing in santa, although i probably did at some point.
