Okay, a lot of folks seem to have their favorite Christmas flicks. It's A Wonderful Life is on TV almost 24/7 around holiday time. But what about movies that have some sorta New Year's Eve moment or theme? I sorta got in the habit of watching Looking For Mr. Goodbar every year. Cuz it ends on New Year's Eve. I mean, I know it is a totally depressing flick and everything. But I think Diane Keaton is very good in it. And the movie does a fair job of recreating the whole singles bar scene from the 1970s. In fact, the flick scared the hell outta a lot of folks. And made people want to be more careful in the future. So can you think of a really cool and/or weird New Year's Eve flick? I mean, do you have a favorite one you try and watch every year? Peace, ~PD
We don't have a specific movie we watch. Last year we watched Closing of Winterland 1978 (Decemember 31, 1978), It was awesome. This year we are watching Pink Floyd The Wall. Happy New Year
New Years GangBang... now theres a mighty fine flick... but I guess 200 ciggerettes(sp) thats the only new years movie i know of i think..
When Harry Met Sally has a New Year's scene in it, it's the climax of the movie. (the other climax is Meg Ryan's fake one in the diner )
I haven't seen that one in years. But yeah, it's a good choice for sure. I'm gonna have to put this one on my list now! That Meg Ryan in the diner scene is a classic. Peace, ~PD
Yeah, it is a really good one. I remember when it first came out. I'm gonna add it to my list of favorites for sure. Peace, ~PD
