This used to be the tagline of a now defunct forums I used to be a member of years ago. So anyway I thought I'd ask you all this question: "What's the point?"
The point varies for me... Today it is starting new seeds germinating and watering flowers all over the yard. The BIG POINT then will be to cover myself in mosquito repellent, as well as don my "yard" clothes...long, light weight sweats tucked into boots and a long sleeved button up. edit: even after all of that, I will still manage to get no less than 2 or 3 mosquito bites. smh I'm also making a point of avoiding doing anything really productive. A computer makes that way too easy.
the point of universally mutual consideration, is a world everyone can enjoy living, creating and exploring in. there are of course a lot of other things that can be called points. a number of radio stations beyond the 100 megahertz range call themselves "the point". (and seam rather pointless doing so).
The whole universe is how God builds zero point pencils. It seems very convoluted but it's the only way to do it. In about fifty years they will be created and then God will turn the universe off.
This is the point ! To feel the goodness glowing inside To walk down the street with my arms about your hips Side by side To play with a sad eyed child till he smiles To look at a starry sky at night, realize the miles
It is just the ego or psychological self , characterized by acquisitiveness, greed for sensation and subsequent saturation, and which is ironically illusory or fictitious in nature, that is asking ‘what is the point’ , in sharp contrast to the existential self which is content with ‘what is’.
The Point Is At The Pointy End Of What I'm Holding In My Right At This Point In Time..... Cheers Glen.
