whats the difference between a musical genius and

someone who is just really good at their instrument(s) and or writing music? Or do musical geniuses very in degree?

I think geniuses are born that way.. you know, like Beethoven who composed a symphony at age 4. It must be a past-life thing.. you know, he was good at playing/writing music in his past life, but didn't accomplish what he was supposed to accomplish, so he was granted the status of genius in his new life.
