what's the best thing that happened to you today?

Having a heart to heart. And knowing what that phrase means.

 

All my cousins were together again for the first time in 7 years. Granted, it was a bittersweet occasion (we buried our grandmother, she was 88 and passed away Monday), but it was just so awesome having the family together. I love my cousins so much, we had such a great childhood and being at the old house and looking through old pictures was just awesome.

I got offered a really good job yesterday. I'm not sure if I can take it because of university, I'll have to see. But it was fantastic to be offered.

Went to the doctor today and lost 5.5 more lbs. That makes 22 lbs in the two months since I changed my lifestyle. I am ecstatic

 

The Icy cold brew I just downed.....Dayim it tastes like another one!....;-D

 

I have a feeling all the kids will stick together and keep in touch, because even though it's been 7 years since we've all been together, we all still keep in touch. My closest cousin lives about 10 miles from here and if anything, I think this has prompted me to try to stay in better touch with him. He's got two precious kids and I don't want to miss them growing up.

On the original subject, the best thing that happened to me today was finding out how much my boss has helped me out in the past week with all this family stuff. Everyone at work has been super nice and has completely understood my need for time with family and away from the store. It was really nice to come into that.
