I'd recommend Enter the Void. I just watched it for the first time recently while tripping and it made for quite the experience. I can honestly watch any movie when I'm tripping, though. Almost every viewing experience is much better for me.

In general I prefer not to watch movies while tripping, although I have done so on a number of occasions, usually on relatively light trips or at the tail end of a trip. IMO weed is much better for watching movies than psychedelics. Low to moderate doses of DXM are also great for watching movies, I can get into a kind of trance where I can't feel my body and it seems like the images and sound are the only things that exist.

2001 is great, although I've seen it too many times. I have gotten something new out of it every time though. Really any Kubrick movie is great for tripping, Barry Lyndon is another good one, for the cinematography if nothing else.

Anything by Tarkovsky, if you're not too impaired to read subtitles. Stalker is probably the best option for tripping. Just the other night I watched Solaris on 2C-E and had my mind blown.

Although I think my all time favorite movie experience while tripping was the documentary For All Mankind, about the Apollo program. Lots of slow, meditative shots of the moon and the earth, with interviews of astronauts talking mostly about the emotions they felt from being in space, rather than the technical aspects. Has an incredible soundtrack by Brian Eno which adds a ton to the experience. It's on Netflix Instant, I highly recommend it.

I haven't read the full thread, so I apologise if The Holy Mountain's already been mentioned, but if it hasn't it should've been.

I almost pissed myself laughing watching The Road Warrior on acid with some friends. It puts me in a great headspace just thinking about how awesome that was.

Glad to see some one mentioned ANY STANLEY KUBRICK movie. His pacing, his thoughtful framing (or mise en scene for those who understand) and his desire to elevate his films to art is MADE for tripping. I recommend THE SHINING, A CLOCKWORK ORANGE, and EYES WIDE SHUT. Deep mind fucking on many levels, some seen more easily and clearly on psychedelics. Ignoring some of the really out there sarcastic posts of some who think that we have over analyzed THE SHINING (seen some real sarcastic ones), there is a wealth of info on the subliminal mind fucking that Stanley imbued this film with. So many deep (and even terrifying) themes running through this movie, that not a single one can be understood without multiple viewings. True horror that many consider almost Anti-Horror. Whereas most scary movies become less frightening after multiple viewings, this one only gets scarier. Genius.

On the other hand, the wife and I went to the theater expecting THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW to suck but have great visuals. So, add one bag of shrooms, and what a laugh riot. Felt like we were right in the screen making fun of these people for being in the movie. Other patrons weren't as amused. Especially by our giggling throughout the moments of death and destruction. Oh well. Wish they had seen the same movie we did.

Other movies to watch on hallucinogens (not already mentioned):
2012 (best comedy of the decade)
    Inception
(I've seen plenty mention of Aronosfky, but what about...) BLACK SWAN

Most of my other favs have been mentioned already:
Alice In Wonderland (disney, not burton)
    Naked Lunch
    Fear n Loathing
    The Wall
    Floyd at Pompeii
any good Animation: Fantasia, Looney Tunes, etc

I'll post more if they come to mind.
