What's the Best Movie to Watch While Tripping?

Head by the Monkees is another option - although some bits get really freaaaaky when you are sober, so i can't imagine how they'd be on a trip

 

I don't think watching a movie is really necessary. Life is a movie while you're tripping.

I prefer not to watch movies while tripping, there is nature outside to be explored!

But if I feel obliged... then "Waking Life" always intensifies my trip.

I always believed that the best type of movies to watch while tripping, is any kind of cartoon, or animated movie. I think the simplicity of animation compared to live-action makes it much easier to get deep into the movie(and also seem surreal).

Any movie by Hayao Miyazaki(Spirited away, Howls Moving Castle, etc.), are great movies to watch while tripping. Also Alice in Wonderland is a classic, hehe. And yes Waking Life is amazing, though I have yet to see it while tripping, i'm sure it would be mind blowing.

 

What's the best about it on a trip are the colours and movements, they seem to make so much sense when you are tripping that the movie actually gets a tad dull because most of it is just pseudo-intellectual blabber.

 

sin city is ton's of fun, house of 1000 corpses was pretty entertaining, Alice in wonderland with the wall in the backround is money as well.

 

last night I watched Apocalypse Now Redux whilst very stoned and liked it a lot, but I think if I had been tripping I wouldn't have liked it. I will be tripping either to morrow night or the night after, can't decide what to watch.

 

Apocalypse Now is a heavy movie....I dunno, Lance in the movie is tripping pretty much the whole time...its would be fun to get into his head

 

The Mouth of Madness...hands down, no contest.

My first time I watched Fear and Loathing and loved it...but dude...go outside! Stare at the sky!

 

Donnie Darko!! its fuckin amazing, so dark and surreal and full of teen angst. mmmm..
when im on mushrooms though my favourite thing to watch is definately cartoons. Aqua teen hunger force, futurama, the brak show... hell, even like powerpuff girls and ninja turtles can be amazing!

a really trippy movie is Spun with brittany murphy, john leguizamo nd some other cool peeps. its about methheads and the characters are so lovably nuts. Basically, this movie is great to watch when your high and i promise you wont be dissappointed.

 

ohh..I thougt of two good ones....Pee Wees Big Adventure and The Salton Sea with Val Kilmer...the last one is just a great damn movie anyway
