I have explained at great length my position on gun control most recently to you.

I find it interesting that you tend to demonize any formulated opinion that is opposite as your own.

I do favour denouncing government gun ownership as well. But we are talking about what is in the Constitution in this thread, which is why I said that the right to bear arms should be stricken from the Constitution.

I'm a youth; I don't see how the constitution is outdated at all; and I wish the government would take cues from it every now and then.

 

Ugh. That's not what I was getting at. I don't think I am better than anybody.

I just get sick of hearing people calling for guns to be outlawed (OK, the 2nd Amendment "removed from the Constitution"), while rarely hearing them condemn the violence that is committed by governments around the world on a daily basis -- many of the same governments that would like to take away whatever protection (or at the very least sense of protection) the people have against their creeping oppression.

Yup. Decent law-abiding citizens don't use guns to kill other people. We hunt, we shoot targets, we keep critters out of our chicken coop. And taking those guns out of our hands forces those of us who still consume animal flesh to buy engineered animal flesh with money we don't have or be on a list of people who own guns so when the time comes they can be taken from us.

I don't give a shit about bearing arms against a government gone mad against it's own people. I just like killing things and eating them.
