I was given ketamine during heart catheterizations to disassociate me from the painful experience.

Edit: I asked the anesthesiologist why I was going to get a dose of Versed along with it, he told me it's because it helps the patient not remember the Ketamine effects, which can be frightening especially to younger kids or people who aren't prepared for what it's like. I remembered them pretty well regardless.

The whole point of doing it on children is because they don't remember things as easily as adults. They usually use it on VERY young children, like newborn to 2-3 years old, because you don't really remember much from that period of your life.

Well, my hospital's protocol was to use it in ages newborn to 18, instead of propofol.

I've tried K, on two separate occasions. It didn't remind me of DXM at all, which is odd since it is a dissociative, just like DXM is.

I didn't do enough to go into a k-hole, though, so I am sure it would feel like DXM if you got to that high of a dose. I did a few bumps, and it made me feel like I was floating when I walked. The ground looked like it was 50 feet away and it felt like it took me FOREVER to take a step, but before I knew it I had walked across the room and didn't remember going that far.

    Fun stuff, that ketamine.

I had 100mg IV and it was a trip. I definitely remember going through the Khole and saw parts of my life that had already happened, talked to people that weren't there, and honestly though I was lost in space for awhile. The first time freaked me the fuck out because I wasn't expecting it, the next few times were pleasant and fun though. The only way I can compare it to DXM is the coming down feels just as shitty and exactly the same (for me).

Stoned Philosopher, you should just stick to the weed to get to sleep. If you want a buzz, stick with the benzos. Thats the best youre gonna get other than plain old sedatives.

You could try getting Ambien or a slightly different sort of benzo.

But it would be better to just save your three doses of valium till the evening and take them then, if you really want to get to sleep.

But it sounds like you are just trying to get high from the pharm industry, which is cool in my books but dumb if you think you will get prescribed surgery grade tranqs on the whim of your word
