Yah, I think at this point in my life, I'm going to shelve the transformative, transcendental psychoactive compounds (except Ketamine) and do more fun stuff.

If whippits lasted about 20 mins longer they might be alright but constantly inhaling that shit every few minutes kinda sucks.

Used as a complement drug would be about the only time I'd do them again. It's wild to do on Ecstasy.

Guerillabedlam googles his spelling of complement to make sure he used it correctly in that context, less he face the ridicule.

  8. Thyroid storm.
    Pericarditis.

I almost died twice in like two weeks.

And you would think it's fun not working and just chilling in bed. But it's as exhausting, physically and mentally. Leaves you feeling drained.
But I just go with "I'm ok" if anyone asks.

I think as soon as my condition allows, I'm going to take up boxing again.

Does the condition disappear with treatment or is it something you'll minimize and maintain?

Two of my family have had thyroid issues which they took medication for and are okay now, though I believe my sister is on like a daily tablet.

I was also meant to get myself checked out a while ago I remember I went through a phase in America where I just couldn't put on weight etc. I ticked a few boxes in the thyroid questionnaire and considered two of my family have had issues also.

I think they had the hyper one, where you just burn too many calories off. I know if you have that one, when you start taking medication for it be really careful with what you eat because you might not fit your jeans after a few months.

  11. Pericarditis will be fine, that'll go away.
The thyroid issue is also not a big deal.
A lot of people have thyroid problems, you just take your meds every morning, and check it regularly.
I was feeling fine and wasn't really that regular with my meds, so I fucked it up a lil.
You feel fine but it sneaks up on you.
That thyroid storm was the worst I've evet felt.

Which reminds me, I forgot to take my meds this morning.
I need to put reminders everywhere :tearsofjoy:

  12. Yeah, it doesn't have to be a big issue, and it's usually not.

My mom had a thyroid condition about a decade ago and she has developed Multiple Sclerosis in recent years. I don't know how much, if any, of a casual connection there is between those conditions but I got to think they are at least somewhat linked in her case. Although she's got a few decades on you, perhaps less resilient and probably several variable factors.

  14. What :-/

    Sorry about your mom :-/

But enough HF for me for today lol

Over the last few years we’ve has a number of deaths here in Massachusetts related to CO poisoning

Unvented kerosene heaters, coal stove pipes filled with ash, to gas powered generators in the basement instead of outside where they belong

Oh my goodness, P, I'm so sorry to hear this. I honestly don't know what to say. Thank you for telling me.

I understand how draining it can be to be on bed rest. It sounds like you're starting to go a bit stir crazy. I would be, too.

Any idea on how long the recovery process is expected to take?

In this situation, there were two huge generators directly outside the basement door. When the firemen arrived, they said they were aware of the issue and get calls from that house a couple times a month. It was very disconcerting.

    Pool table porn. :p
Just had a relatively good session on her. I need to call some folks get out to play, need to start using venue tables again. My table being traditional English means it sits slightly lower than venue pub ball return tables. It makes a huge difference when you're so used to your own table. On the plus side, venue tables in my experience tend to have slightly wider pockets than mine meaning, if I miss a shot on my table and the ball rattles the jaws but spits out, well, 9/10 I'll make that shot on a venue table. I wouldn't mind getting pocket fillers for home some there is even less room to sink a ball making accuracy pinpoint, but I'm not even good enough to use them lol, on my good days I am. I've been practicing daily for a few days now and I notice every day I start to pot better.

  20. Well I've been "resting" for the past three weeks.
I'm back among the living today.
I still feel some heart trouble, but that should be completely gone soooooon.
Doctor said to take it easy for a week or two, so I'm doing that.

    It's all goooood.
I feel like all this messed with my head more than with my body lol.

Feels good to be doing stuff.
