    G'mornin' folks. Bout to start another lovely day here at the mission. Spent yesterday unloadin' a ladies box truck. She moved her mother here from San Diego. Back on that today at 11. Gotta take most of the boxes & put 'em in her semi storage trailer. Then the rest & the furniture go to a storage unit in town. Gettin' paid $100 at least.

    Only bad part is I gotta pay 22.5% to the mission. They do give me a roof over my head & food to eat.....& I wouldn't have got the job if I weren't here so I suppose it's reasonable

    One year, my mom and dad went on vacation between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

    I knew her shopping was done and that she'd boxed everything and written names on the bottom of the boxes.

    There were 25 - 30 packages to be wrapped because we have a big family.

    I took my key, went into their house, wrapped all the presents and put them under the tree for her.

    She was totally surprised when she got home from the trip.

    That task of wrapping was always daunting to her. I helped her every year until those dreadful gift bags came out and wrapping became easier.
