I think I'll hang out by my fire drum late tonight. Sit, think, drink and burn some stuff.

I'm fairly certain I'm celebrating a special persons birthday tomorrow......

Even with 8 cameras some asshole in my neighborhood made off with my ladder. I didn't get a clear enough image to figure out who it was because the ladder was right next to the house next to a bunch of other crap I figured nobody would want to steal.

I have one camera in the pantry and in its path is a $100 bill tacked to the wall. Anyone who goes for the C-note will provide me with an excellent profile shot to go with the facial shots they get from the doors and hallway. But so far nobody has been stupid enough to break into the house. In over 15 years here we have suffered 2 incidents. The first was a GPS from the car (I don't lock the doors so I won't have to replace a window). Oddly, he was caught and we got it back. The ladder was the second, about a decade after the GPS.

So I guess we've been pretty fortunate. Living on a dead end street probably helps as well as having loud-ass dogs.

 

For a few seconds I was wondering what kind of instrument you'd be playing (wtf is a fire drum). Then it hit me, a burn barrel!

I've been wondering about how George and his wife are coping. He lost his son 3 months ago last Thursday. Terribly sad for him....

 

I wish I could say that, mine are all trump devotees. Mine family isn't much better.

I think I might throw a Yule party.
I've been thinking about it since YFM mentioned it earlier lol.
The winter solstice is Friday, Dec 21 so I could do it then. That really works out perfectly.

Throwing parties makes me nervous though, like what if no one comes...or worse, what if only one person comes and feels really awkward for being the only one.
I always feel like this and people always come but i'm so nervous about it I dont end up having any fun

 

First check that people don't have earlier commitments and then do the whole thing very casually.

 

I think I'm just going to see if my friend's band will play. If they play, people will come

I remember reading about yule logs a few years ago, now I have a reason to do one.

People can always count on me to show up for things. Just give me a date, time, place, and venue (dress code) costume, beach shorts, 3 piece suit, dancing shoes....lol. I'll be there.

Misty and I were know for this, it was our calling card. A tad late sometimes due to the 4 girls but we always showed.

If one of us was sick, the other would still make an appearance.
