Hey! I'm a Brit and I'm a good dancer. Gene Kelly is a big influence. You ought to come dancing in Shoreditch Drift. Everyone gets on the floor.

 

Yeah I did think of several exceptions to my generalisation as I typed it.. but still. Shoreditch.. next time I am in London.. it's on my list!

What kind of music are they dancing to?

 

All sorts. House, electronica, reggae, etc.

 

I am honoured once more.

All the cool girls are so far away. Last time I made a new female friend all our socialising was on her terms which I didn't really mind, but she never would have wanted to do what I'd do of my own accord.

 

When I say Gene Kelly. Yeah. I was having a laugh. He was a genius.

 

I do have one good female friend who is always up for the sort of things I want to do and vice versa, we've had many fun adventures together...but the golden age of our friendship was a few years ago, we've drifted apart over the years because life.

But she's probably the only female i've ever befriended who was 100% on my level

It does suck getting to know some of you wonderful people and knowing we would have a blast together but will likely never meet

 

But don't you think we get to know each other in a way that you can't get in real life? I know it's a bit sad, but you're all very real to me in a way. I call it touching from a distance. The only thing that worries me about knowing so many of you would be to hear of something really bad to happen to anyone.

 

If I live long enough and HF is still around I plan on roaming North America and visiting the lower 48, Alaska and all the Canadian provinces. Then I could finally meet some of you irl and go out to eat, have coffee or whatever you want to do. I'd like to get pictures with all of you too.

It's raining.

I woke this morning, did morning stuff, and went back for a nap.

I woke after nap and put up some barricades so the dogs could wrestle in the sitting room.

My son came over to round up my grandson's little bow and arrows. He first said he wanted to see if we needed more arrows so he could teach the triplets to shoot; then, he ended up musing about if he could put a real head on the arrows to shoot squirrels with. Bless him. He is bored with the rainy day.

I'm having Monster and catching up to social media. The moderator of our county neighborhood watch group on facebook asked me to help her moderate. So far, I haven't had to do anything which is cool because I'm a reluctant moderator anymore.

 

Not sure about the meaning, she had been a hairstylist for 32 years. She knows what she is doing...might need luck though because she has muscle problems from being sick last year.

 

We haven't watched the new t.v. since hubby's sister gifted us with it.

Granted, we had to wait on the Fire Stick but we've had that for 10 days and still haven't bothered to watch it.

We lived without t.v. for 10 years and liked it.

Isn't it funny how well intentioned people want to feel sorry for you sometimes?

 

You should sell it, but maybe that wouldn't go down too well.

 

The main thing his sister kept saying, who doesn't understand technology that well, is that we would have it to watch weather reports on so that when the weather was bad we wouldn't have to wait on the computer.
