You strike me as having a pretty high resistance to having the lovely worn out of you.

 

Well, I've suffered a lot on my own level, but things really are getting better for ME. I'm sorry for the others but there's just not much I can do right now. I love humanity. I know these are trying times. I'm just trying to keep things simple and I'll help anyone along the way if I possibly can.

 

One of my clients had a heart attack a few weeks ago and we were talking today. I had to follow up with him about something and he just was let out of the hospital. He started crying a bit and then so did I. What a day so far :/

 

Damn.
But at least he made it....

Years since I heard this but I just felt like listening to it today ! ( my son asked about it last Christmas he thought he had dreamt the lyrics from his childhood )

 

A girl I know runs this charity thing where you get a list of what people want for their birthday, and you choose who you want.
It's kids but also the elderly. I think that's nice because we often forget the elderly, and they are sometimes alone, lonely and forgotten.
Something about getting to that age and being all fragile and forgotten breaks my heart.
Nobody was young and thought "can't wait to be old and alone".
Our society is not very sensitive to the needs of the elderly.
We like to ignore them.

Anyways, I did that once for an old man.
I think I'll do it now for Christmas too.

Usually kids have no problem having their wishes fulfilled.
And these old people...they don't really want much. Sometimes an old lady will want a moisturizer (any), or an old guy will want a few pairs of socks, or new slippers.
Of course, most people throw in something extra, but it's still all very cheap.

 

I was just thinking about how old people are forgotten about when Christmas comes. Maybe it's my imagination though.

 

Thats fantastic My wife once brought an old lady from the bingo for christmas dinner (we were young then and had very little ourselves ) I moaned about it when she told me what she wanted to do but we had the best time ! she came a few times after that but eventually got too old and then passed away

 

He is in his 50’s, if I had to guess? But yea, at least he survived it.
