Wow, I can imagine the mixed feelings. Interesting that she kept it. Maybe she wanted to have it serve as a reminder that she had a great life with you and that former life was gone.

Having a bit of Coke with my Ice. I went to a fast food drive thru, drank my coke surprisingly quick on the way home and when I got home, I took the lid off and realized they filled my cup up near the top with ice. I like ice, but whomever filled this cup up, I cannot understand how they justified this amount of ice as reasonable.

 

I like it iced because i dont like soda, rather have water with cola flavor, but I can understand the opposite.

 

I once ordered something that translated to "cold ice water" and it ended up just being a cup of ice.

I remember thinking "Well, they weren't wrong..."

 

I just learned that a local band I loved, from the late 70's, is going to be doing a show near here in the Spring. The vocalist was a friend of mine from high school. Lots of people from my school are planning to attend that show.

This made me smile mostly because we're still alive!

 

Back to wanting to quit this job. It’s not the actual job but I feel like the company makes it hard for people to feel settled. I don’t feel settled and every day, I try to be positive and it’s just too hard. I don’t want to work this hard even for the money I’m getting.

I like the company but I feel consumed with work even into the evening. That’s just not what I signed up for.

my company made a bunch of people move only to move back to our office in feb/mar .. smh of course with all the technology changes every couple years. big computer control systems need to be ungraded on whims too.

Coincidental perhaps, but I recently also stumbled upon a typed letter my wife had typed up quite some time ago that stirred my emotions up for a little while earlier this week. I haven't told her I found it yet, it was on a mega old hard drive our first portable hard drive. It was dated 2007.

I kinda feel like writing a response and saving it and then it'll be like a time capsule if she ever opens it again to read, we'll probably forget about it until then.
