Looks like we're doing a recount in florida...why can't we ever do an election without there being a problem? Honestly I think it would be easier if votes were able to be straight up texted into a computer program that counts them with no human interference. Then we'll see how it goes without all the voter fraud bullshit going around.

One more day in the big M. Then off to Hangzhou.

The shopping malls here are an odd sight. They truly don't know what to do with Mcdonalds, KFC, and all of that stuff. Hardly anyone can afford to shop at any of the stores.

There's a smell of beef, potatoes, and onion almost everywhere. Don't get me wrong, I love all three of those things, especially together... But they must put some kind of Mongaroo spice in it because the entire city smells god awful. Fuck, even the smell of garbage in Thailand didn't gross me out this much. I've become quite the b-i-t-c...oin.

Not sure why I'm complaining so much...

It feels like China has embraced the west with open arms (I'm aware there are some pretty glaring exceptions). I mean, god damn... There's American shit in China that we don't even have in Canada.

Their currency is a bit fucked at the moment. Somewhere around 7 USD to 1 RMB. People are talking about instant noodles selling at a higher rate than anytime in the past, mostly to due with the cost of fresh food rising. I mean, you can still buy fruit for next to nothing on the side of the road in the country, but it's nowhere near as magical as it sounds. (Nobody that can afford to shop at a grocery store would ever buy fruit/vegetables from an outside stall). Exclude street food from that last comment though. Everyone, regardless of class eats street food. Especially after drinking. (There are wonderful outdoor markets, but that's not what I'm talking about... I'll have to take a pic... It's basically just someone that puts a bunch of assorted fruit/vegetables in a wagon and then rigs it up to a bicycle and parks in the middle of the fucking sidewalk)

Happy to go home for Christmas, though.
