Just doing all the roster changes to my madden season. I drafted a new rookie QB, I hope he's good lol. I kind of went all in on trades to get a good pick to get him.

not with any certainty. from what i could see, the room appeared to have been completely empty already when it happened.
the tape is gone now, and the glass has been swept up, but that one unit/room is boarded up with a big red sign on the door saying unsafe for occupancy.

then today, in another part of town, right at the major transit bus transfer point, right across from it, some kind of major bust was going down.
no idea, since i don't have tv or radio that works, but multiple police units, cops in their stance with weapons drawn, multiple civilian cars with people with their hands up.

just feels weird seeing this just the next day. no reason to assume any connection between the two events, other then both happening in my proximity.

my guess about the cause of last night, well they had the ceiling crawl space access open, even looked like the blast may have came from there.
most of the evidence gathering crew were fire department, but in addition to one police investigator, the electric company had sent someone in to have a look too.

what i suspect is someone left a little surprise behind when they moved out, one that took a while to cook, so they would be long gone, and near or at a ceiling electrical junction.
total guess though, and that whatever it was, didn't leave any part of itself behind after it went off.
whatever it was, an electrical short, by itself, and with no one around, seems an unlikely cause.

there was one car parked near there, suffered very minor cosmetic damage.

this is reno, not las vegas, these kinds of things are NOT common here.

 

Was it heated by natural gas? Do you think the furnace might have been in the attic?

 

nope. all units have heat pumps that, i think are all electric, but they're located below the big window, right down at ground level, and mostly outside. there's gas to the complex, and i'm not sure what burns it. possibly a central water heater or a laundry room, neither in any way involved.

 

The fire department probably just left the space open after checking up there.

Weird.

 

yah, cooking meth crosses my mind. in the crawl space, above the access panel.
seems totally likely that they took off without disconnecting from the power.
no gas anywhere near there that i know of, but some sort of fumes or dust may have accumulated and ignited.

Who was in star wars...but the reason I bring this up is that the last comment on the last page is (newlyweds trump and Melania) trump is yelling at someone or something...so in other words, nothing has changed in the last 13 years.
