Google search brought up boots, don't know if that's what you looking for?

Yeah I could Google but it's more sociable to ask someone else to Google.

Specifically wellington boots. Rubber boots? Just wondered because I realised I'd never heard an American say wellies. Australians and new Zealanders have other slang for them. I didn't know an American slang.

I'd call them "rain boots" but it rains like 2 weeks out of the entire year where I live, so I'm probably not the most qualified to answer.

You're perfectly qualified. Americans have no slang equivalent for wellies. That's fine. If it's wrong it's fine, because it was never important anyway.

Your son no good at school? Hates sport? No friends?

Rejoice! He's a poet, and though that be no fitting job for a grown man, let him ramble, and entertain the clouds.

Sure beats a life of surplus wage value.

I start sharing your feelings on this matter when they aren't oblivious to it. In a lot of instances they're aware of the slaughtering of their fellow pigs and sense the same is waiting for them. That also can and imo should be avoided. But really, what's the issue when that is the case? Swift, stressless death and a great life

I like how human consciousness is such an enigma but pig's consciousness is so easily understood.

oddly enough, confusing as it sounds, when i was growing up they were called rubbers, which, since condoms were called the same thing, and since sex trumps everything besides money, may have something to do with why people stopped calling them that.

that's kind of easy by asking if you'd want to trade lives with one. some people, the way they think and live, almost might as well. but i don't think you're one of them.
and i know i'm not. well i don't think i'd be anything anyone would want to eat the meat of if i were some terrestrial creature other then human.

Was that abandoned as the Cold War intensified? It sounds like a Soviet word.

If these terms blow yer mind, wait until you Google "moon boots." A staple for anyone growing up in New England.

    Amirite @hotwater ?
