Sometimes I miss trick or treating. It probably sounds silly that a grown adult would rather get candy and lay in bed munching and watching movies than to go to a party on Halloween. Ah well.

 

Well sometimes. But I think the reason is mainly that for a lot of gay people Christmas is a hard time. Some of them aren't welcome home, some of them refuse to celebrate a religious holiday because their religion looks down upon them. Halloween is just a good time to be what you want to be, and who would know better than a marginalized group?

 

Today, I play a composition that I authored for my entire piano class of around 10 people (lol). I've called it "Melody in C". Either that, or "Melody in C Major". Either way, you get the idea. It's in C. There are no sharps or flats. It's 3/4 time, Andante (100 bpm). Every phrase is legato and there are no staccato notes. Etc.

 

I'm fighting the tummy monster this morning while waiting for it to get warm enough to go outside and spray paint.

I'm also waiting on hubby's check to hit the bank.

 

Halloween's happening! It's actually slightly cooler here too, so it makes it a bit festive.

 

I think if you carve a pumpkin lantern and make it visible then they know you welcome trick or treaters.

 

Or just turn on your porch light.

 

That's great. I'm just showing off but I had a piece of my music performed by a pianist, violinist and bass player at a recital. Unfortunately I don't have a recording.

 

I got Haribo Star mix and Super mix. Now I'm all excited. If they don't come I'll be pissed.

 

You can go out and find them. Just take your candy with you and hand it to them when you pass them on the street.

 

That's what I'm gonna do. They might not come here cuz everyone knows this is the psycho house.

 

Due to my location the chance of trick or treaters is zero. It's one night where I wish I lived in a real place
