Reading work email and I was finally off the fence with this new job, but after 60 days, I think I'll climb back up there. So many things I like about this job, but management really seems obtuse, and that can make a job more difficult than it needs to be.

N'aww I think my boy enjoyed his vacation at the farm kennel. Just now I unpacked the trailer and pushed it into place then I went to do the truck. When I came outside I heard him whimpering by the side door. His two paws were on it. I said what's wrong Trey?and he talks to me in squeal so I said okay up and he jumps in the cabin and goes to the spot we had him and lays down giving me the sad face, like, cmon let's go again. We might have to go to an excursion somewhere on the weekend. :)

I'm thinking we should explore some new territory, a couple of hours drive through the Alps south east to Austria we can reach Hinterriß, a small neat village in Austria. I could easily see myself spending the day here. I'm researching the hotel as well. I think a weekend retreat would be fantastic.

I swear my cat is still angry at me for giving him his flea drops the other day. The stares are terrifying.

According to Google Maps, 48 minutes. Though I doubt that, especially because I will go the scenic route and avoid the main roads. It does look pretty hey, my wife birthday is in about a month so I'm tempted to maybe not visit and then take her there for the birthday weekend. I'm still looking into the hotel. :)

I like reading into the history of towns and villages and their hotels that I visit. Ghost stories especially. I just have an interest in what has gone on around me in the past and I like to find any notable characteristics of the place that may have shaped it to what it is today.

My mind keeps going to the little colony of feral cats I befriended over several years visiting my friends' condo at Panama City Beach. Bless their hearts. I really cannot bear the thoughts.

I have been through many places akin to this throughout lower Germany and Eastern Germany, but I have relatively not experienced that side of Austria, which is baffling considered I was born in Vienna. I am a big fan of Salzburg and Innsbruck, but they are quite close to us, achievable in a few hours. The eastern side of Austria is relatively unknown to me except the time we travelled through the forests of Carpathia en route east to west across Austria.

We were on highways though. Austria is literally just like Germany. Same language, same dialect, same everything except I do believe Austria is more scenic and beautiful and being an Austrian Lass, I tend to prefer the characteristics of Austrian women more than I do the stern, shaped faces of German woman.

Though it always tends to be the blondes that have these sharp facial characteristics, whereas I find brunettes just seem to have a more smooth face, not all the time but mostly. I believe this is because the anthropological characteristic of the Alpine Aryan is less sharp features and darker hair, whereas inland folk seem to have these sharp edges and lighter hair more akin to the Nord.

Must have something to do with the air and wind if I consider the facial characteristics of Mongolians and north Chinese who are treated to a blessing of wind 12 months a year, their faces seem much curved and rounded than other countrymen living south on lowlands.

  11. Me too!
Let's get together, have some original Mozartkugeln.

I also agree about Austria being more beautiful, both nature and cities.
And even though it's the same language, I feel like I understand Austrians better

    What a country!

I was in Salzburg only a few days ago. I cannot remember the name of the place but there is a fantastic bier garten with a huge giant oak tree in the centre that encompasses the outside in beautiful shade. The beer isn't served in traditional glass stein, they are ceramic and you join the line, pick up a ceramic and someone will be there to poor your beer for you. It is only a small venue, but this oak tee is magnificent, spreading its branches in all directions and angles.

Thank you. I had to spend a while in Saturday school learning English. :p not sure if my parents thought it was a good idea, or wanted us all out of the house. We had to learn it anyway, moving to an English speaking nation.

Fun fact. I always got a gold star in Saturday school spelling, but one word early always got me and that word was "because". I remember I wrote it down on the back of my hand but during the test, I did not cheat. I spelled it correctly. :)

I used to walk to school trying to say the word "abominable". Then I thought, "a bomb in a bull".

I was the first kid in my class to be able to write my name. And spell "absolutely", later.

I remember when "people" was difficult and then I wrote it in a spelling test and it looked right and I knew it was.

I couldn't read until I read Lord of The Rings age ten. All of a sudden, I could read. I believe it's something in the air.

Other than fantasy and mythological texts, the first book I remember getting was RL Stines Goosebumps, werewolf of fever swamp.

I think my writing style is a hybrid mix of Neil Gaiman, R L Stine and myself. Probably not though. Probably not at all.
