I was just thinking about Luna Moths. Why even reproduce if you're only going to live a couple of days? I mean, really.

 

Then again, if I only had 4 or 5 days to live, I'd want to experience fucking, too!

 

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess that neither Termites nor Moths really have much conception of Parenthood.

But I suppose if they are having thousands and hundreds of offspring respectively, found their ecological niche, they can be considered evolutionarily successful.

I've been rereading Remarque because of you (Jesus, his works make me cry). Don't abandon me.

 

Hesitating as to whether or not I should drive 4.5 hours to go to my college reunion tomorrow.

I fear it would be nothing more than a dick measuring contest to see who's had the most successful outcome since graduation. But at the same time it might be nice to network with some of my old classmates and see if I can benefit from it.

 

I fear that most people don't realize how much influence the SCOTUS has; especially in environmental policy. I took a class on environmental policy Spring '18 (this Spring) and the final word on so many issues is fought first at one level of the court, or at another... but there are some that go all the way to the Supreme Court. And with a conservative justice on the bench (or is he said to be swing?) he is more likely to side against the environment (perhaps siting the constitutionality of doing so). But I don't think it's only the environment that we have to be worried about. Now that he's good and pissed he could become vindictive.

 

There is a 20 year for my high school this year, but I'm not going.

 

Yeah, reunions are weird like that.

Apparently my 20th high school reunion was THIS year.
