I’m feeling a lot better yes! Now that my vacation is nearly over.

 

Iran and Syria and other parts of the ME are so beautiful. The food, the language, the music, most of the people and their customs, etc Such a rich culture but so much chaos and violence! I pray for an end soon to it.

So you live sometimes like a gypsy. It sounds like it could be so fun.

 

This work day is literally never going to end. I feel like i'm trapped in some sort of sick cosmic joke where one 8 hour day has somehow been stretched to encompass days, weeks, months..how long have I been here again?

Ideally, I'd move to a new place every 6 months or so.
But jobs don't really work that way.

Are you really digging this lifestyle or are we going to see a news report on you one day? I'm being flip but... I dunno man, it seems like you're at peace and doing well, and I'm grateful for that.

But there is another way this story goes, and that worries me.

My friend Tiffany just divorced a perfectly good husband over her new boyfriend. The boyfriend doesn't have a job (he just got laid off at the county dump), doesn't own a car, doesn't own any land. So she let him move in with her. And now he drops her off at work driving her car. And he smokes in her car too. And Tiff comes to work with these huge, nasty hickies. He is also about 5 years younger than her, about 28 or so. I guess I've been going at relationships the wrong way.

The thing that kind of concerns me is that Tiff has a preteen daughter and younger son watching her go through this midlife crisis or whatever. I seem to have become ol' fashioned somewhere down the line.
