What's Happening???

You should come by my work. We're cooking hot dogs on a camping stove inside the office at the moment. Beer too. This was a last minute surprise. Trying to recreate the July 4th barbecue experience inside on July 3.

 

my work will have catered hot dogs and burgers, tofu crap, potato salad.. and COORS LIGHT!

It was some fruity beer. I didn't care for it. Now, I just wanna take a nap.

 

When the dogs get hot and ready to come inside, I'm going to take my ice pack and go lay in bed. I'll nap a little, then plan to try to keep the dogs calm during the fireworks tonight. I might even drink a beer or two then.

I just saw my miss finish it and was I interested what she was reading. She asked me if I found it intelligently written. I said no. We then had an open discussion about intelligent writing. My argument was that, just because they use words only 5% of the population understand doesn't mean it's intelligent, to me. To me intelligent writing is comprised of literature everybody can interpret and understand.

I've read books where I needed an on the go dictionary to look at every 2mins to figure out what was going on. I didn't find it very fun lol.

 

^ I usually don't mind it. But if I have to look up words all the time it can get too distracting.
I end up paying more attention to vocabulary (or structure, if it's a foreign language), instead content itself.

 

I'll have to remember that.

These dogs are bad during thunder too.

 

I have a certain way I read thing in my head with a voice, so once I have to stop and look something up it breaks that momentum and I have to start again to get the flow going.

Believe I'll get some BBQ pork tomorrow. We have a locally owned grocery store (and about the only alternative to Walmart, which I loathe) that does it's own BBQ out in the parking lot and it always turns out pretty good. They also do baked beans and such to go along.

We smoked our meat all day Saturday
