What's Happening???

If you get a DAW (Flstudio, Garageband, ableton, etc) and check out a book or some youtube vids, you can pick up some basics fairly quickly. Translating from mind to production doesn't always go exactly how you envision it in your head perhaps, but the flip side is that those programs usually have a ton of sounds available to you, so you could potentially find something that you like even more than your initial ideas.

 

One of my friends has an app like that on his phone. He is in a couple of bands though so he's already musically minded. Anyway he wrote this really cool orchestral piece on this free Samsung app, like game of thrones intro and it was really awesome. He was trying to show me but I got lost with all the music chords. I don't know if a C goes with an A or. E lol.

I had fruityloops like a decade ago.

It depends on the scale you want to play in and stuff but for most Western Music, if you're talking about chord progressions, if in the key of C, A would be the relative minor.

If you're talking about just making one C chord or using an arpeggio, than E is the note you'd use and G.

So a C scale is all the white keys on a keyboard/piano, you could potentially play the individual notes however you'd like, it's more when trying to develop chord progressions that there clearly are some chords/notes that go better with some than others.

 

Lol one of my friends is trying to hook up with a chick and he's meeting her today or something and I asked of he was going to pork her but he didn't know what I was saying so I'm trying to explain the whole like, pork.. Anyway he eventually gets and says it's funny but then said damn, I'm going to be thinking about that when we are doing the deed and that means I'll be thinking of you. Lol.

 

I think the easiest for me would be to pay an engineer to do the songs for me, like you can buy tunes now days. Personally I find it easier to write rhyme with a tune already handed to me.

 

Lol how much you willing to pay? I could dust off Garageband and make some beats for you.

I have no idea how much they would cost lol. I think for my first tracks because they have to be shrouded in mystery, would be more dark in sound and scary rather than up beat and hip hop.

Although I think I'm better at ripping off others songs and just laying my own raps.
