    I might be suing...

I bought this thing... it's like a battery pack. You can charge it up. It has an outlet you can plug your laptop into. And, it doesn't work very well after about half of its charge is depleted. If you need it to boot up your stupid refurbished laptop with its dead battery, you might be out of luck.

What happens is this device switches itself off before my laptop (with the dead battery) has a chance to boot. So, in class my note taking stops, the lid on the computer closes, and I may as well leave if I didn't fully charge the battery pack the night before.

The battery pack has an impressive charge capacity, but after say half the juice is drained it sort of wants to go to sleep if it doesn't sense anything plugged into it taking power. That's the problem because for right now, my laptop doesn't have a battery.

So I took a video of all this and sent it to the manufacturer (it's no longer within the return policy of the place where I bought it). They said I could have $200 worth of merchandise, which I feel implies they're not going to offer me a refund.

They no longer carry the device, and they don't carry any devices that work with full size laptops. This morning I replied to an email from them asking for money back. They haven't gotten back to me.

    That's what's up! :)

Sometimes I get really into a topic and I'm melting my wife's ears off with it and she gives me a look and I know I need to be quiet and let her be. :p

Then I usually do mid section work out on the floor in front of her to get her attention. :tearsofjoy:

I was scrolling through the ol book o' faces and I just saw a Delia's ad, and then a United Colors of Benetton ad. What decade am I in?
Seriously tripped me out for a minute.
And Levi's is selling high waisted flared jeans for $98. But clever fashion forward me, I've been stockpiling vintage high waisted flared Levi's from thrift stores for the last 5 years.
I remember when the internet was ad-free, now I just basically go on facebook to look at the clothes.
I'm going to stop rambling now and go see what I can get for my vintage Levi's on Ebay

I have chigger bites around my ankles. Y'all know about that? I'm taking a stiff bristled hair brush and scratching them until they bleed.

About a week ago I gave Facebook the finger and got the hell outta there. And $98 for jeans? I can get them at Rural King for $6. Of course, some Chinese kids probably worked 16 hours straight to make them, but they're so comfortable. And cheap.

The Chinese are used to hard work.

While building the transcontinental railroad they suffered every form of discrimination and degradation, they worked from sunrise to sunset, living conditions in the worker camps weren’t fit for a dog, hundreds died while setting black powder charges,
many more died from disease and hunger, the use of opium by the workers was rampant, Chinese women were forced into prostitution, ……16 hours a day in a clean well maintained factory …heaven on earth.

One of the best reason for buying secondhand clothes.
If we do buy new, quality matters.
Cheap clothing tends to fall apart faster.
    False economy.

That's a terrible way to live, Mel.
You're too logical to let fear alter your behavior.

Oh just the elevator at work, not other elevators.
The elevator has gotten stuck or dropped on other people too. Logic tells me it doesnt work very well :p
Plus I should be taken the stairs all the time anyways, I do most days but sometimes I get lazy

So unfortunate they stopped at season 3. I rarely am bothered by a tv show being cancelled but here i was. It's also the only tv series i have on dvd and probably will remain the only one :p

I avoid elevators when I can. Something about the inertia of moving while not actually moving myself screws me up. My equilibrium gets thrown off. It's similar to, but quite the same as, having vertigo or being dizzy or something. I get the same sensation going over bridges. I'm not afraid of heights exactly, but they do make me uncomfortable. And elevators are just one of a number of "up in the air" things that make me feel awkward and uncomfortable.
