No, this is when I was in their contemporaneous age group. But I was on the older side of it.

 

I’m suddenly reminded of my high school Spanish teacher who took a trip to Monterrey Mexico and for the entire school year that’s all she could talk about.
It drove me crazy- I couldn’t learn a thing. So i agree i'd rather learn at home with Rosetta Stone rather than deal with unnecessary distractions.

I’m stressed as hell right now. I’ve been working at the office all weekend long in time to get a deadline taken care of. Errors were made, and some of them we have no time to correct. And I got more errors to correct before Tuesday.

This is the reason I haven’t been myself lately. Had to devote some hours without pay to compensate for lost time and error correction too.

Just picture 4 days of complete rest and relaxation............... with yelling and screaming kids at the family cookout, loud 4th of July concerts, and neighborhood punks setting off Firecrackers, M-80s, and Roman Candles

This is the first bath I've had in about 9 days.

It wasn't hot enough but it's been over 30mins and it steel feels great to stretch my legs and lower back in something warm.

 

Some bikie guy with a rebel flag on his vest told me in a pub once that the term cracker was for white people cause they hold the whip and crack it back in the day. While I get the oppressive meaning behind it, I just don't see how it's offensive to white people? Maybe it's a cultural thing?

I get if your boss was a douchebag and you called him a cracker, he might get upset cause he the bossman and doesn't want to be associated with slavery, but if some goose walks up yo wat up der cracka, like what is that supposed to mean to me?

Phew. I thought so but then I have been known to take that them the wrong way too lol. It's like omg there's too much English in there for me to comprehend at this specific moment in time.

I mostly use English anyway because my wife STILL hasn't learned the local lingo. The good thing for her is the local lingo has a lot of English in it too because it's the universal language here. Like I dunno how to speak French, but taught English, a Frenchman bicycle rider comes to town he don't know how to speak Deutsche but he can speak English so yeah lol it's always English, even for the Asian groups.

She can order certain things like I've taught her how to say most of the easy butcher options, but she spells it all out in English order, it's understandable but sounds simple. Gods bless. one day I hope she wants to learn. Sometimes I like to type in German and then run it through a translator for when I post things. Like my online articles are written in German first anyway, the racing car stuff but if I'm posting in a forum I need to go back through it all and change the words to make it seem like me and not just a robot lol. Bit of a bogan.
