my mom passed away a decade ago. she started to have a life after my dad died, but she had less then a couple of decades left in which to live it.
it sounds a wonderful thing they stayed together until death did them part,
but i really don't think either of them believed that anyone else would have them
and i think, though you never know and i could be very much mistaken,
but i've always thought they would both have been happier with different partners then each other.

i feel, that's almost a terrible thing to say, they did keep each other, in an era, when most of the people they knew, had started to consider marriages disposable.
they came together and stayed together, in defiance of the unlikelihood of their doing so. that to me is how it seemed,
and i have to grant them, there is of course some nobility in that as well.

If you are actually having trouble on the dating scene.

Someone should tell you, maybe i have told you before, cant remember....

But, you look too smart in the eyes, pretty and all that of course, but, yeah too smart

The guys act cool, some here Im sure will tell you otherwise. But they cant handle a pretty girl thats also smart, too intimidating, no matter how together they seem.

Also; forget how old you said you were now, but 25 and over, theyll just think you are on the hunt for a baby daddy

    That is all

  7. My dad used to serve for dinner a piece of Wonder Bread smothered in baked beans with a piece of Velveeta melted over top. He called it a bean boat. I used to have to pretend I was eating and then sneak into the kitchen and bury the food in the trash. I have a really weak stomach. Otherwise I just throw it up.

We had a similar comfort food that I still make and it doesn't sound nice but it's quite nutritious and just a comfort food it's basically just mashed potato,.beans and frandurts diced up and heated in microwave. That's all there is to it, when I was on the road with my dad as a kid this was a cheap meal for us. It has stuck with me and whenever I am in need of a comfort food this is what I will make. :)

Gove me baked beans on anything else and it will be going in the garbage disposal lol. I couldn't even eat that on toast I would also sneak it into the bin. But mix it with potatoes and Frankie.... Mmmmm

I am going to make a healthy lunch, it's an Asian sauce recipe and I fry mince together and then we put the mince into a lettuce leaf and eat it. I've done it a few times it's pretty awesome and healthy.

I haven't seen you here in quite awhile. I don't always come on. Usually at least a couple times a week though.

  12. I don't know what my dad was trying to do this one time, but I'll never forget it, because it was so gross. He had vegetables in a fry daddy or something...he'd just purchased this device...and served them dripping with vegetable oil. I regularly threw my meals away. My mom died of a heart attack, and it's no wonder... I don't know if she was scared of my dad or actually liked the food, but she would overly praise his cooking. He would walk through the room where the rest of the family sat to his own room, and she would have mouths full of food, exclaiming, "Oh, this is SO good Arly! THANK you!" It always drove me absolutely insane and made the experience of having to try to eat that shit that much worse.

I've been back for a couple of weeks. Just posting a bit here and there. I had a hiatus from posting on the internet in general and HF is really the only place I'm doing much right now. I still check out FB but never post there.

    The Beef Stew is awesome.

We bought stew meat on purpose because we wanted to see how tender the Instant Pot would cook it.

    I'm not mad, lol.

Is there a reason you wouldn't have bought that meat otherwise? I love beef stew but I'm the only one left at home who eats meat. :( And now I'm hungry.

No. We are meat eaters. I have to cook everything super tender for hubby because he has no teeth now.

We just wanted to challenge the Instant Pot.

I'm pleased as can be with using it as a pressure cooker. I've cooked in the old pressure cookers many times and I don't miss the dripping and noise that were part of using those.

I'm looking forward to using some of the other modes.

I want to try cooking pasta in it next.
