I feel like the bickering between Asmodean and Mally is some kind of personification of the centuries long relationship between the UK and The Netherlands.

It’s not, obviously, but my mind likes to attribute meaning where there is none.

 

You read that post where i explained what using air travel responsibly means as well. You found that unreasonable? I saw you also mention around that same time, but on a diff subject that you also believe we should consume less, or at least more responsible a.k.a. using our resources responsible.

Even if I went there for holiday I would be ok if i went by airplane. But it was an excursion when i studied history.

I do think we should be conscientious and consume less, yes. But I believe I also made the point that as far as the output of carbon into the atmosphere, we should be holding corporations accountable rather than putting the onus of responsibility on people who fly every once in a while.

And as for flying....your logic seems to be, if you're traveling for a "good" reason then traveling by air is fine, but Mally's reason isnt good enough

And I just dont buy that logic, at all. The environment doesnt care that you were studying. The result is the same whether you study while you're there or whether you just hang out on a beach.
