Mel, why are you afraid of the next flu pandemic?

I mean, it doesn't sound pleasant, but I also don't really think about it.

I do remember swine flu though, I was in college and everyone was freaking out. This one dumb girl with a fake orange tan got it. She looked really sick. And she was like "oh my god, i have swine flu!!!" WHY ARE YOU IN CLASS THEN?!

Interesting. And sort of brutal. The gun shot is, at any rate. Exposure to cold on a mountain really wouldnt be a bad way to go though

Well, I have a lot of stupid anxiety concerning death anyways. So a lot of it is my own neurosis.

But realistically, it probably will be the flu that takes a big chunk of humanity out (sorrry, I couldnt think of a more pleasant way to say it) Like someone mentioned above, 80,000 people died from it in the US last year alone. The flu is no joke.
We're likely due for another pandemic like the one in 1918.

  5. Everyone has their star. And you look at the sky and if you guess correctly which is yours, you are going to die.
I was told that as a kid.
I often try to guess. I still haven't, but I think I missed it by a star or two a couple of times.

Fuck the flu, it's the stars.

Wow, 80,000 does seem like a lot of people. I hear you about the death neurosis though. I do go through phases of death-anxiety about random ailments. Mine usually revolves around blood clots though.

I saw some video of a Chinese women falling into an escalator and getting ground up in there. That would be a horrible way to go, too. She was carrying her baby with her, so she threw the baby to her husband just in time for him to catch it as she got sucked into the escalator.

    If you wanna be traumatized.

I'm gonna go with the star thing.
    It's kind of comforting

Exposure to the cold is supposed to be the easiest way to die you just go to sleep

hope the bitch loves the apartment. In washing my hands of this relationship.. to wasteful, to much drama. When her dad had open heart, she caused drama. So if she does this shit around people in bad health without even a conscious thought of doing it.. Just making my health condition worse.

The mountain exposure was my first thought. I meant it to be what I would do if I found I was terminally ill or old enough to still do it, but also content not to keep living until I couldn't do it. The gun shot thing got in my head after I last watched American Beauty.. and it just looked... refreshing. Clean. Release. Relief. Haha.

Do you guess.. as a thought? Say out loud?
Is the guess addressed to anyone?

Yep, exactly. And I don't mind the cold, really. So I think I could deal with that bit.. then you get all warm and sleep and die. AND it takes out all the funeral costs. Hopefully creatures will eat me : )

Pretty much, yea. Don’t like having to be somewhere if it’s raining hard but staying inside, watching and hearing it fall is nice.

I've only heard/read starry two times. One from Piaf and a quote from the movie The Davinci Code.

I dont know much about religion, but I really appreciated the Davinci code as it pulled me in, intrigued me and still kept me focused even with the notion that I don't understand the back story of religion with all the scriptures and interpretations.

Tom Hanks does a good job acting in those kinda rolls.
