oh my! That is a very sad and pitiful situation all the way around for that girl, no matter how you look at it. I remember you said the girl has kidney problems as well. That is just too much.
I wish there was someone to tell the 36 yr old exactly what you said...for sure she needs to go up there to the hospital! smh at the self absorption of some people.

Thanks. The fingers are just barely bruised so not as bad as I thought they might have been. A little bruise at the nail tip on a couple of them but I don't think anymore will come.

That poor girl. I think I've calmed her after a few hours of messaging with her. She's worried sick about her mother and sitting in a folding chair at the hospital for about 12 hours now.

Her mom is high on diladid, percocet, and muscle relaxers. She's talking out of her head but at least she's conscious. I told her that if she had a serious brain injury she'd be unconscious. The last thing was that she was snoring and talking in her sleep. I don't know the extent of the fractures but I don't think any of it could be that major since she's been conscious.

I'm making a big green salad tonight with everything in it, and grilling some salmon fillets to go with it.....soaked in lemon and studded with big garlic chunks.....I love to break up the salmon and add it to the salad....

Ate some wonderful things in Cape Cod....Famous New England clam chowder supposed to be the best on the Cape...and it is the best I ever tasted....

this is why i live in a city so i don't have to have a car.
i don't like cities either, other then for public transportation, and strange restaurants, but i really love not being a slave to a car.

of course i'd love to be able to go places public transportation doesn't, and without having to concern myself with when,
but everything is trade-offs. what i don't spend on a car, i can spend on computers, model trains, furry conventions,
and gormet goodies from trader joes.

i don't know what page i was looking at, i thought it was this one but obviously it wasn't.
still true though.

some idiot where i live seems to have a problem with what hours a cat sleeps and doesn't.

Yeah I’m somewhat of a traditionalist; peepers mark the first signs of spring, bobolinks and the full Harvest moon (tonight) are signs of autumn.

As for the video I suppose with a 6000 mile journey ahead they have to psyche themselves up

In a little while, I'm going to the grocery store and buying stuff to make some Salisbury Steak.

That's it. That's all I've got planned.

Plans don't ever prevent other stuff from happening. Plans are just what I've told myself that I'm definitely going to get done.

 

YES!!! There are some things that I get done, always, and I know you know the kind of things I mean...when others depend on us.

Other things I have plans for.

Then there are whole other things/lists I see and know I need to note to simply put ON the "LIST" of things to do...

Plans and lists and plans and lists.

Then there is always losing the paper with the main amended finalized LIST for a week.

I'm on the 4th load of clothes. Hell yeah.

Hubby and I weren't speaking earlier but my son came over and we talked to him together so that kind of broke the ice; plus I'm cooking the man some meat.
