We had clouds and drizzle and some high winds here. I love hurricane season, I'm way too far from the coast to worry about them but we do get some dreary weather (my favorite) from them.

I haven't been able to take a hot bath in ages. The hot water runs out when the tub is just full enough to piss me off. I don't understand it, I can run a load of laundry with hot water, run the dishwasher, and take a 30 minute shower at the same time and never run out of hot water. But god forbid I try to run more than 2 inches of hot water in the tub.

What I wouldn't give for a steaming hot bath with a few drops of essential oil. Baths are the best .

Put the plug in the tub and run the shower, lol

    Piper pooped her crate.

    Lovely.

She wasn't a bad dog. She had an upset stomach.

    Still...

    Lovely.

had a blt with so much bacon that i couldnt bite through it. i never thought i would be upset with the proportion of t to b. i mean it was really just a bacon sandwich with one tiny slice of tomato and a single leaf of lettuce.
in hindsight i think i would have enjoyed it more if i took off some bacon and ate it as a side dish.

Well, my sweet and precious little multi-toed cat began thinking last week (during Mama's hospital stay, and maybe 2 days before that) he needed to piss and shit just where ever he was on the porch. NOOOOOO! [IMG] Princess is so smart, she tried to show him there were TWO litter pans, and how damn revolting that is - to do your business anywhere. yuk

I even sat there with him just before my epiphany, and put him in the litter pan. OMG his would stick his legs out as straight as he could get them and when I finally saw this was just no good, I let go of him and every time I did this, he come out of the pan stiff legged, shaking each big snowshoe paw one at a time. We went through this several times, dear God. I cannot believe she let that cat just go where ever. Jesus Christ she didn't need this cat and a toddler. SMDH

This went on and on. Then night before last, the night everybody home I got myself together and the answer came to me. He sleeps outside the porch and my precious Princess sleeps on the closed-in porch.

I've had a fairly nice lg- medium sized dog kennel for some time, and I had to FIGHT to keep it when California came out here throwing away every stick and stone in the yard they could find. That kennel is now Gimli's house. He took right to it after I set it up for him. It's near the outside water bowl. It's just the right height and size for him to jump up and lay sprawled on with room to spare. He is a rare cat that thus far isn't all that curious what is outside the fence, because he could certainly get out. Princess stays outside the fence a lot now. She cannot stand Gimli's attention. lol

He can use the bathroom at will outside...

When I'm outside, I'll be in my outside boots but I'll still keep a lookout for piles. [IMG]

The shoplifters hit this one walmart, in the older part of town, several times a week. The police dept puts them on youtube and catches most of them but that doesn't stop it. I don't think that walmart even tries to stop them. They don't pay their employees enough for them to give a damn.

So earlier this summer I saw one Monarch Butterfly... The only one I had seen this year. Later I had been watching 4 caterpillars but two disappeared in a storm, not sure if they got back to the milkweed or not. Today I have a brand new butterfly in the back herb/wildflower garden... It's been a slow year for the Monarch around here.

My lawn is real patchy. I hate that...I can put it off if it isn't too high but the patchy areas make that impossible.
