How long did you have your gas running and did you have the cover down? Been there done that but it never got my hair too bad thankfully. My new BBQ works but I had bought just a long clicky lighter and you only start one gas vent, light it and the rest then light off that one.

It looks like I'm taking the girls to the $5 Below store today.

One of the triplets won a $25 gift certificate for that store.

 

Gonna get myself back in the kitchen today and make some meals to freeze. Stock is low.

I turned on the gas way too high to light it the old school way, and I leaned in too close. Made a huge fireball.

No burn injuries. Except my beautiful banging bangs will never look the same again. Should've had Hank Hill at my side.

Burning hair smells gross.

 

What a fulfilling day!

Caught waves, had lunch with good folks, and then back home for a nap, one of the best Celtics games I've seen in a long time (no kidding, a guy named Bird was instrumental in tonight's victory), followed by an actually productive writing session.

Now I'm nursing a rum buzz while on the patio and jamming the Dead Kennedy's.

It's a holiday in Cambodia and in Neo's little life.

Spicoli was right...a cool buzz and some tasty waves....

Did I mention the nap?

I slept for 4 hours last night, got up and worked through some personal stuff for 4 hours, went and took a 4 hour nap, woke up and here I am.

 

I meant to study today but I'm a procrastinator so instead I dicked around on here, spent 2 hours dusting my blinds, wandered around a gigantic plant nursery for a blissful hour, bought some succulents, planted said succulents, repotted some house plants, planted a few veggies in my vegetable garden and will finish the rest tomorrow. And now I really have to study but here I am instead. And I have to make dinner and exercise. Then I really will study
