I googled FIP and it doesn't look like its very contagious.

 

Most likely, her mother gave it to her from what I was able to read last night.

I had no idea she had anything that she couldn't recover from.

 

I had never heard of FIP before...

In my "research" / googling I saw where it is now being claimed that there is treatment for FIV (feline leukemia which should really be called feline AIDS). I also read where it is now accepted that a number of cats diagnosed with FIV can live for yearS with no noticeable health problems.

My bff was told her cat had FIV and she was advised to put her down even though Sugar wasn't showing any bad symptoms. I forget what she had taken Sugar to the vet for but it wasn't really serious...maybe shots and her appetite seemed off. Well, bff paid the vet NO HEED, and kept Sugar inside from that moment on. Prior to this the cat was allowed outside for only short periods of time. Well, Sugar lived to be 19 (NINETEEN!) yrs old, and even then bff had her pts because of various age related problems. Since Sugar was an "only child", her infecting another cat was not a problem.

Anyway, I guess I'm saying we live and learn...sometimes its damn hard though.

One of my cats helped themselves to some green tea.

I had a saucer beside my bed which had a good bit of green tea that I'd squeezed out of cold tea bags before resting with them on my eyes.

I got up in 15 minutes, surrounded by cats on my bed and night table.

The saucer was missing alot of green tea.

These cats!

 

I've got to clear my head.

I'm about to walk next door to see how my granddaughter is doing with her recovery. Hubby is there with her.

 

Walking next door didn't do that much good.

Hubby informed me that one of the triplets' bunnies died last night.

I guess it's one of those days.

I hope they aren't too upset.


The weather is overcast and there is an awesome breeze blowing - a much needed break from the heat and sun.

If you have animals and love them, I also believe you'll have a burial place for them if one stays in that place long enough. I've lived here since I was a child. Hell, we have an old lower cemetery and then this upper one that I maintain. smh

I need to go work in it, the pet cemetery area, but its been so dang hot and snakes love that area in particular. Y'all know how much I love snakes.

When it gets closer to fall and I can walk across the yard without sweat running in my eyes, I'll do more in the yard. By then I may have to rent something to harvest the grass in the back yard.

We don't have one dedicated spot. The pet graves are scattered around the yard. We are having sassy privately cremated. I will keep her ashes inside with me.

 

A dude came by offering trash pick up service. Nice guy. We swapped over to him. He is going to save us $24 a quarter over the big company we've been using.
