No. I use to manage small offices for in-home services and customer service was part of what I did.

I'll try to explain later maybe if this headache eases up. They did some more this evening.

    Yes. This.

Customer service, lol! I'd be like Roseanne in this sketch. I just can't take crap from people.

So glad it's Friday!!! I somehow managed to stretch 2 hours of work into 8 hours today, but it was painful. Boredom is the bane of my existence.

Spa day was a success. I'm officially noodlized.

Now hosting a double date. My bestie is dating my fiance's bestie. If anyone breaks up, the whole house of cards comes tumbling down, but for now, wheeee!

You know, Lesbians are able to pull that kind of thing off when no other group could.

I know several of my daughter's friends in situations where they broke up as a couple but became good friends and even bridesmaids for each other.

Let's go with I'll see next week. As of right now they aren't expecting to get the power back on until Sunday night. On the plus side, there was no noticeable damage to my car, I think the branch must have hit the ground in front of it and just come to rest on the hood. And I did grab my headlamp and another flashlight from work so I'm about 5% better prepared than I was last night.

I'm good at customer service now that it's a part of my job. When it was my whole job I quickly learned to hate people and I think it showed, at least sometimes.

I've never worked a pure customer service job. But I have had jobs where I have had to work for some very rude, particular, and influential people with high expectations, and they never really got to me. In fact, I would make a bit of a game out of giving them nothing to complain about. Plenty of my coworkers didn't last very long at that job.

A few keys on the right side of my laptop went down as well as my left shift key, so I'm experimenting with this technique where I'm using my left hand on the left hand side of the laptop keyboard and the track pad, and my right hand on the right side of an external usb keyboard. I definitely appreciate learning proper typing techniques for this, it's surprisingly not much of a transition, the only thing I cannot account for is the left Shift key.

I may have to take the laptop in, or if anyone has got any ideas or links to resolve this issue, let me know, but interesting experiment in the mean time.

And then when you sober up, try cleaning out your keyboard.

Both my Dad and my bro (probably for different reasons though) have had to use their laptop keyboard with the desktop monitor. Lol so I know about juggling when I've seen or used them. Ha! For your thing, yea, I can see proper technique being really helpful, even more so if you've memorized it, because that's likely gotta be a much wider space to look over!

Well my battery is getting low and I need my phone to stay awake all night to be my alarm clock in the morning, so I'm out. If you see me posting later, please yell at me for my irresponsibility.

It's essentially the same space, because I'm allocating my fingers to the same keys as they would be on one keyboard. I definitely 'feel' different typing though, in some unexplainable way, but as I get more used to it, it almost seems more comfortable or natural than having both my hands bunched together on a standard keyboard. I don't know if they have them yet, but a keyboard that can detach in the center might not be a bad idea. Like I'm way more comfortable typing while laying down right now then when I normally type on one keyboard.

I kind of want to get another monitor at some point too for coding. I hear it makes it much easier to have your code file on one screen and then the output or documentation or what not up on another screen.

^ it's not two keyboards side by side? I would think that'd be bigger. Maybe I'm misunderstanding.

Ah the split keyboards. I guess those might not exist, but they do make curved ones that kinda split the middle, little more ergonomic.

So coding? You're one of those computer nerds eh? Lol no prob. My "roomate" (hubs) does this for a living. He taught me what The Matrix is really about. Ha! I feel priveledged, but I kinda liked my own previous imaginative version of it. :D

I think I've taken kind of an interesting route to get into computer coding. I wasn't really that into computers growing up. It seems I've kind of been drawn to it as aspirations of being a Rock Star have fallen by the wayside.

Since I kinda just let the cat out of the bag there about something, I just want to update that my sort of complaints or venting the other day about not having support, well, I've since been reassured that people actually really do care and are making efforts to help me be a better me and reminding me why I stick around them for so long. Lol it's all good! Thing of it though, a lot of times I say something nice like this, I turn around and find them doing something else that pissed me off. Ha! Oh, I hope not this time. I could really use this peace of mind to last. *daydreams* :)

Ha! I get that! As you've probably noticed, we've seen each other around those parts (music section) most of all on this site. I had dreams as a youngin, but honestly, I'm happy with the life I have now...and pretty funny how ive toyed with trying to get into computers too just to share with my hubs, but I think I'd probably be, is this right?-front end team- like the more visual and final product part (more artsy In my mind) as opposed to backend, like he does, the more how things run, the more "code" creating as opposed to maintenance and customer service. Right? I could be way off base. But yeah, I'm definitely more artsy where he's more brainy, but I'm brainy enough to sorta get him if I wanted to. I just had a dream the other day, infact,, that we collaborated on something...i probably ought to tell him before I forget! Lol
