I like to look for song's sung from a woman's perspective.

I also like to listen to different artists covering the same song.

I've got a youtube folder with 10 different covers of the song "Jolene" in it.

 

I can buy that, if you mean a more contemporary, modern beat to it. But the lyrics are the same. Women loved that song back then. My mom (a little Ol Filipino lady) played this all the time, along with many Motown hits. Songs back then represented how both men and women felt in relationships. It's not bad. The original just feels smoother

 

I agree. I'll always go back to the originals no matter how many times they re-break my heart.
