I have to get out tomorrow and get the clear, silicone nose pads for my glasses. The glasses are probably 5 years old and one of the screws backed out yesterday causing me to lose the nose pad.

I can't wear them because the metal digs into the side of my nose; so, I went back to a pair of glasses that's probably 10 years old.

This, is annoying as fuck. I can't see properly.

Sorry to hear that Aerianne... I don't wish to make you feel worse, but I recently had my cataracts yanked out and they put in new lenses... something us OLD people get done when they reach 65 or so...

BUT now I can read and drive without glasses and see dirt - literally everywhere I once thought clean.

Hope you get the nose pads quickly and easily replaced.

Hang in there Meliai! I certainly hope you get the answer, and a solution quickly. Pain is never fun, even the smallest pain can be royally infuriating.

Even though she'll be fine, that's still bad news. Having a loved one in the hospital is never pleasant. Here's wishing your mom a speedy recovery. Yes, even the mom of a Pens fan...

Sorry we all offered our "expert" opinions.

Just hope you're doing okay, homegirl. That's all we care about.

I'm glad that know what's causing your pain. That generally means they can treat it and make you feel better!

Bouncing back and forth between the Celtics-Clippers game and watching the ISA World Longboarding Championships while drinking an IPA.

My IPA glass is like permenantly stained. It has an yellowish orange hue. Is that normal? Or does my dishwasher suck?

An armed, masked man attempted to rob the Dollar General again tonight. They locked the doors at 9:00 p.m. Shortly after that the man came up and jerked on the doors. When the manager and another worker looked to see who it was, he pointed a gun at them. They said he left in a car but they didn't get a description of it.

My friend drove the manager to the police station and told me about it as soon as she got home.

I saw several cars speeding up and down in front of my house tonight and knew that was unusual. It was probably the police taking a look around like last time.

I live 2/10 mile from the top of my street and the Dollar General is across the highway from the top of my street.

The New England Patriots have decided to wear their white uniforms for Super Bowl LII.

12 of the last 13 teams to wear white uniforms have won (the only team to lose was the Steelers against the Packers in super bowl XLV) so now winning is just a mere formality……

The local bagel and bakery outlets will pull Philadelphia Cream Cheese off the shelves until after the game.

The Mayors of Boston and Philadelphia will make a bet probably something like a large crock pot of Boston Baked Beans or Clam Chowder for a dozen Philly-style soft pretzels or Cannoli’s

The Governors will follow suit betting a dozen lobsters for a dozen cheesesteaks

Followed shortly after by the duck boat parade

I would throw a Super Bowl for a pot of good ol' fashioned legit NE clam chowdah.

So, Pats back in the Super Bowl again? What is this...their 10th time or something?

Yes it's their 10th time in toto, but in the Brady-Belichick era it's the 8th time in 18 years which is virtually unheard of in the era of free-agency

Really? I just threw a number out there. It's really their 10th time?

    Crazy...

I still remember--and by remember, I mean being conscious yet uncaring of--Doug Flootie a million years ago. Couldn't tell you anything about him other than he became some kind of New England folk hero.

Anyway, Celtics beat the Clips to end their four-game losing streak. Shoulda beat the Lakers last night. We. Don't. Lose. To. The. Lakers!!! Especially in L.A.

These new kids gotta lot to learn.

Not a huge football fan, but Pats gotta rep New England. Foxboro bitches!

Jaylen Brown was off on his shooting tonight but it’s good to have Kyrie Irving back

If the reports about Gordon Hayward are true he could be back in March, which would open a clear path to the NBA finals with Golden State, not that we’ll win but it could go 6 games

I know! Poor Jaylen! Saw them live last night and Jaylen is even cuter and innocent in person. Kid is adorable. But he struggled--though not as bad as Jayson Tatum who managed to have a solid game tonight.

But Hayward? I don't know. Don't want them to rush him back at less than 100% and shove him into the lineup with no time to gel as a unit. Introducing Hayward could be awesome or a disaster. Anyway, glad the poor guy has healed.

Wow, sounds like they closed just in time! It's getting crazy and people are getting desperate around here where I live as well. A lot of people, including us, have invested in many home monitoring systems, to kind of see shit like that coming. The most impressive one we have is called "Ring" and it's an integrated door bell/ camera/voice communication system that allows us to monitor what's going on with our house from anywhere, with an app on our phone. Attached below is a recorded video feed of me from our Ring system:
