What's Happening?

Our rice cooker died over the weekend. It still works but the switch won't stay down for cook. I've hit it. I slapped it. I dropped it. Still doesn't work lol. So we had to boil. Might get a new cooker this weekend.

 

I'm still just boiling.

 

I actually found that easier and quicker, but then you have a pot to clean.

 

You don't clean the rice cooker?

 

not really, i just scrape off the rice and then rinse with hot water. I don't figure rice has much yuck on it? lol. I wash before i use it anyway, I mean i rinse the rice.
I also don't clean my coffee cup or my bbq plates much. Makes the taste better. I knew a guy who bought a new bbq, shot a cow then let the cow literally rot on it until was all gone, just to get the plate tasting right...
I've never had a bbq with him.

Same here although winter weather really never left us.


We have a forecast of 2-4 inches of snow tomorrow morning through the early afternoon. 4-8 further to the north and west in the usual Snowbelt areas

 

It's a bright, sunny 17F with an inch of powdery snow at my house.

 

We have maybe 2 inches here thus far. No school, no work. I love the south

 

Willow, Nona, and Percy are fascinated. They're sitting at the glass watching the wind blow little puffs of snow off the roof and trees.

The wind has really gotten up in the last few minutes.

 

Man, I'm not even in any place i can call 'the south' and we don't have any snow.

Derailment in Illinois, computer outage yesterday and now New Orleans facility closed today due to weather. Im bored

 

I guess I'll make some food for myself.

 

...or, sit and wait for this pain pill to kick in.

 

Now, about that food I wanted...

 

This is the most perfect omelet I've ever made and it was cooked in a cast iron skillet.

 

I just got off the phone to my captain. He was like, what was up with you today? And I said well I butchered two frames, I wasn't happy I did all the hard work and let myself down and the team. He told me a good he didn't win a game, out two worst players did the best out of everyone lol. Plus he said I won my last frame which was good and he said because first round of the year, there was no order in how we played it goes off rankings and he said they pitched me against their harder players. Which I knew, but still I just said I was pissed off with myself and sorry if I seemed distant because of it.

I remember after my first loss, the frame went for 17mins! And I was hell composed until the end when I hit the 8 and I wanted to leave it on the top rail as he had a ball there in pocket about to drop and the natural pocket for the 8 was that pocket, I really fucked up my cue ball leave it ended up in a spot I told myself I couldn't afford to leave it. So that's where I put it. Stupid stupid stupid! And that 8 never touched the rail. In hindsight I should have went for the double down the table into bottom pocket. But anyway after that loss, my face just blew out red in I'm not sure, shame maybe. Anger. Lol.

Though I maintain, if I don't get emotional and nervous then that means I don't care. So I don't mind showing some emotion.

It didn't help I had that bloody Clint Eastwood song in my head and was whistling all day. Lol.

 

Damn, my favourite RAC record label has shut down. Now where am I going to get Michael Müller albums! They're all banned in this country.

 

I don't know Michael Muller. Why is his music banned?
