msg is just salt and glutamate. which is a nurotransmiter. its probably why it makes people think the food taste great and become addictive.

 

All the schools around here have already announced they are closed because of the pending winter weather. So has the largest employer in the county. I'm as tense as a third grader waiting to see if I have to work tomorrow.

 

We've been really good with our eating except on NYD and the Chinese tonight but we didn't go overboard. My miss is slimming down a touch and looking good.

 

Yeah Irmi, it sounds like you got a reaction to MSG in the Chinese Food. Look for dishes that specifically say "No MSG".

 

Yeah I might have to. I swear that was all banned though. I feel okay now but may have been the strong anti inflammatory pills.

 

It's not banned here so you have to watch out for it. The items in the Chinese food are marked.

Have plenty of water to flush whatever it is out of your system.

Many that say this have DiSodium Glutamate instead... As if the extra Sodium makes it healthy or something.

MSG can also be called "Natural Flavoring" without specifying what it is. Go figure.

 

Well I still feel fat and bloated. 1lt bottle of powerades probably didn't do me any favour but I'm heaps thirsty.
