When I was in high school lightning hit the house. My little brother had some kind of monster truck toy or something. This was an electrical toy--powered by batteries, mind you; this was not plugged into the wall.

Anyway, lightening hits the house and this truck starts driving around the living room by itself. It was really freaky. Right out of Poltergeist or some shit

I've had a real deal poltergeist experience before.

In my parents house, the surrounds don't look they once did when the family migrated to Aus, we had a vacant field out the front of our house. To see it now is unrecognised I saw it last year when I visited home, it's now built up into big apartment buildings, pubs and cafes. The house is worth quite a bit of money now because of development. Anyway. Before that it was nothing.

I was starting to shift my music interests and I'd gotten into a underground group called Dark Lotus, and their first album had a lot of seances going on behind the music and written into the lyrics subliminally and backwords.

A lot of emotion used to go through me listening to this CD and still to this day, exact moment in songs will bring me to tears without warning, which I read later in life that this wasn't an uncommon experience to be produced from this album and in fact a lot of people succumb to the same thing.

But I also heard my name being called a lot, and it wasn't my sisters for one weekend I was left on my own for once, and I would hear knocking, footsteps and my name constantly. It was really spooky. One day I even watched a wooden mallard/duck get knocked off out table. It was in the middle and I watched it slide and hit the floor. I was spooked out. I told my folks the place was haunted, they never believed me. For months after I heard the footsteps, I heard my name over and over, Jocelyn. Jocelyn.

Then one day my mother said to me "do you know why nothing is ever built in that field across the road? Well apparently the centre is a swamp and when it rains the field swamps and is unable to be built on. A long time ago a little boy was found dead in the swamp.

And it hit me. I told you the place was haunted mum! That's exactly what I've been hearing. A little mischievous boy, which is exactly what a poltergeist is, well not a boy, but generally they are young spirits who died young and are on limbo of sorts, poltergeists mean no harm, but they are mischief makers.

Anyway I moved out with my girl, weird stuff happened at home. Mum would say the lights came on at all hours of the night and the oddest thing is their TV would also come on the black and white fuzzy ants at volume 100 full blast every night at 230am..

I knew that place had a haunting. I damn well knew it!

That's my poltergeist experience. I've so had many other experiences with the spirit world such as being completely haunted by the spirit of a soldiers wife who inhabited my apartment until I sought help from a guru to rid the problem and the result was an absolutely remarkable experience. Something so unreal and to this day, still shocks me.

Tales from the Lotus Pod is the name.
It's just ICP, Twiztid, Blaze and Mars, or they re released with ABK instead of Mars. The original with Mars is the best.

Returned from a camping trip at the lake on my family’s private property. It’s sad how much the cabin sat in neglect and decay most of my life growing up. Thankfully its been fixed up enough to sleep inside overnight, which is exactly what I did. What was once a rats nest filled with decaying household items and cobwebs everywhere, is now a very beautiful living space. I wish we’d’ve begun restoration on that place 20 years ago or more. When I was a kid that cabin was basically a creepy haunted house where we stored the lawn equipment. My siblings still don’t like that place very much. But I love it there. It’s too bad it’s 80 miles away from here. I’d be out there all the time.
