I was wondering why I wasn't peeling after the sun is got. I finally am. Not the good kind where you can peel long pieces off. This is more like a tiny part at a time.

Had lots of dreams lately where when I wake up in can rewind the TV (dvr) and it brings me right into what or why I was dreaming what I was.

Pretty severe thunderstorm for the last one and a half hours. It is still raining but the lightning and thunder have moved off to the south and west. Heading out to visit with my brother today.

Feeling calmer after the storm last week. The cat therapy works for everyone who gets to experience this bundle of joy.

went downstairs while organizing upstairs, i had on one of the music channels. the song on was erase/rewind by the cardigans.
i decide to turn up the tv so i can listen to it from upstairs and then decide to rewind the live dvr so i can listen to what i missed. cant do that so i try recording the channel. cant do that either.
so i am sitting there listening to the lyrics "erase and rewind" and i can neither erase or rewind the song.

I made an appointment for Moxy pug here for as soon as i could get...Thursday.....There is something wrong with her....She has lost alot of weight suddenly and is not on any diet...She was always the fattest pug here...not anymore.....Her daughter, Winnie, looks bigger than her looking down on their backsides standing next to each other and Winnie is not overweight at all.....Moxy is not herself....does not have the bounce in her step like usual......and looks sad...She is always happy...and sleeps alot....I am worrried...I think it could be something serious.....

I have to vacuum here now. My friend is coming over tonight for a late supper.....She could not make it for July 4th with last minute needing to work over time....so I froze my sauce for this day when she could come over......so I have many things to do here, and my head is splitting open at the moment. Too much Stress!

Well I took lunch (pizza) and a bag of coffee beans. It rained and was windy all morning and only started to clear up around lunch. I left about 1:30 after coffee.

Truth is I would be worthless at digging holes to plant trees. Some of the trees in pots fell over in the wind. I do keep a very small garden around Mom's gravestone and it is difficult at best for me to handle that. I am his older sister by seven years and have arthritis from head to foot. I would love to be helpful when I go but normally watch the birds and other critters since it is so peaceful there.

was buying lottery tickets when a guy walked buy me and says "waste of money"
all i could think was, "no shit and so is beer and junk food and nik naks, and pretty much anything decorative. all i could think was the very fact that you are in a convenience store means you are wasting money.

Supper was wonderful last night served with salad, garlic bread and watermelon for dessert. It was good to have this friend over. I don't see her as often anymore, as her new job has killer hours. My sauce was even better than the first night I had it. I added fresh basil to it last night, as well....love that basil.

But Moxy was not acting right, and at one point Stan screamed out..."Oh, no!"...while checking on her. My heart fell to the floor and has not recovered yet. He thought she was gone, but her breathing was shallow and hard to detect. I told him....We have to get her into an emergency appointment today...ASAP....as I noticed her walking , around the house, the little she was walking seemed like she was drunk and going to fall over.

She did get into an emergency appointment today, and all kinds of tests will be running on the blood and urine they took from her. At prelimanry sleuthing, it is detected she has fluid in her ear canals.....I thought...vertigo, and explains the walking like drunk...They said it could be parasites, heart disease, diabetes or cancer.....It will be tested for all of these things, and hopefully, we will have our answers tomorrow. I hope for parasites out of the possibilities, of course......

She is home now, drinking tons of water...more than usual...but does not want to eat anything...and she throwing up all of the water she drinks each time....so another phone call has just been made....i am scared this is critical right now, and want to get her ASAP help.....now....but as usual, when one of my animals needs real help, my usual vet is gone and this sub vet is there......It is happened with Lucky Lou and oscar cats.....critical....sees this sub vet and comes home worse....and now Moxy. What is going on?!

I am lost as what to do right now for this poor dog. :(

Also, since the last time Moxy was at this vet's office for her arthritic shoulder not even a month ago, and it was discovered then she had an ear infection.......she has lost 4 pounds....4 pounds is nothing for a human to lose in 3 weeks or so, but for a pug, it is ALOT in such a short time.

Moxy was born April 2, 2009, so that makes her 7 years, 3 months and 17 days. Champy impregnated her almost immediately. She was a baby herself when she got pregnant, as her puppies were born July 8, 2010....making them 6 years old now. It was not planned for her to get pregnant. I did not know they could so early, or I would have had her fixed right away. ...but everyone is fixed now....and no one saw it when Champy did that , either....I did not know she was having puppies until almost the end of her pregnancy.
Moxy is not interested in eating anything, and throws up any little amount of water she drinks, so the vet said, if this is the same tomorrow morning...bring her right in...no call or appointment necessary.....I feel like I am watching another family die today.

A pug's life expentancy is 13-14 years.....Champy died last year at age 12.....after living with many problems for almost two years that most pugs would have died earlier with.

Moxy was interested in eating before she went to the vet's today. When she got home, she was even sicker than earlier in the day.

Same thing happened with two cats i brought there that were very sick...both came home sicker and only lived a short times afterwards...Coincidence with this substitute vet? perhaps...but a weird one that has me wondering a bit.

Around here there are no holistic vets...but I bet up there in NY there would be. Maybe try a holistic vet. The animals being worse after the vet visit would really put me off too. :-(

There are very few things worse than having a bad sick beloved animal.

My heart goes out to y'all, Moonie. :)

Thanks, Lynn. It is nice to know that at least someone cares.

It was a god awful night here. I was up all night. She would drink water, and then immediately vomit it back out all over the place. She did this all night. I thought she would die, so I could not sleep.
Call came early....she was sick with diabetic ketoacidosis......get her there....which we did,....Vet said she was on edge of life and death with the levels everything was showing...duh...i knew she was critical yesterday with something, and you sent her back home to me....with nothing to help her with????!!!!!!

Anyway, she is in the hospital now....and we are supposed to hear by 5 today to see how she is doing, and then she will probably have to be transported to another hospital vacility that has 24 hour care to check her insulin levels among other things all night. My vet hospital is not all night care.

I have a holistic vet for Minxy cat here....with her stomatitis, and she is through the roof expensive or I would have all my animals with her....and i said to Stan....if moxy makes it back home...maybe we should take her there....for holistic treatment...of course, this is all costing an arm and a leg...but what choice do we have here? none.
We value every pet's life we have here.

Diabetic ketoacidosis means that she has had diabetes for ghod knows how long now, and it is at the critical stage...poor moxy who I cry when I think about how she exercised every day here, no matter how tired she was and rallied....and I see her face.......and am crying.

just throwing this out there, i have used her peaceful pet before and it works wonders. im not a hippy type person when it comes to medicine but i would trust this woman from my talks with her and from the few items i purchased from her. http://www.localharvest.org/store/pets.jsp

just bumped my head running to the bathroom, low doorway and jumping over junk i left just before the doorway are a bad combination. damn that smarts. no blood...yet.

edit: the woman i talked to was sharon hubbs kreft. there are several people on that site and she is the only one i can say knows her shit.
