I explained.

 

When I was young, I liked dogtags. Like the American GI ones from vietnam, so those keychain plastic tags where you write info on them, I wrote my name and four numbers. Random number. I must have been 8 years old maybe.
The numbers were "2690" and have stuck with me for life. No I don't use them for passwords or credit cards or anything, but often when I go to write my postcode I stumble with this sequence and usually forget what my actual post code is lol.

 

You email your doctor?

I prefer email for all communication. I don't like talking to people like at the doctors on the phone, they always seem so clumsy and unable to assist or help, at least in email it's there. Your instructions and questions must be adhered to, it's right there for them. When I call on the phone I feel like they are not even paying attention.

 

I hate the fact that phones mean you have to be available. When I was little, if someone tried to call my mom and she didn't answer--oh well. Now people don't answer and you send them a text, "hey just tried calling u" Then the email, the Facebook message, the Hip Forums message, it never ends!

It's like it's now socially unacceptable to be unavailable even for a few hours. Hate it

 

That's why my dad let us have an answering machine lol. he said if someone leaves a message it's an obligation to reply. He gets so grumpy on the phone.

 

Doesn't bother me in the slightest. I have absolutely no problem turning everything off except the stereo.

 

Yes, and she responds pretty quickly.

It's much better than calling and having to go through her nurse with a message.

I went out to call our kitten, Tommy.

I started calling him but hubby said something about where he saw the kitten.

Then I said another cat, Dusty, had scared him away.

I started calling again...but I was saying "Dusty!" (who was standing right in front of me).

"Dusty!"

"Here, Dusty"

Playing phone tag with a nurse at my dermatologists office to find out if a mole I had biopsied last week is cancerous or not

Cant remember if it was this thread or another where everyone was talking about emailing the doctor

I sure wish I had their email, she won't leave a detailed message and I keep missing her

 

Yes, my doctor's office has a patient portal where you can email the doctor, request refills, look at lab results, etc.

I hope you get good news with that biopsy!

 

If I could get my knees and legs to act right, there are things I want to do!

I want to rearrange my pantry shelves, putting the heavier stuff like small appliances near hip/waist height.

I want to make some hot pepper relish.

I want to make stuffed Poblano peppers...

As it is, I'm doing good to walk when I have to.

 

I feel so bad about my dog. Emma lives for me to walk her every evening and I just don't feel like it.

Hubby is gone to get me some arthritis strength acetaminophen. He had to re-dress. He was in his kicking around the house clothes.

I was just going to do without. I honestly don't feel like walking and standing up long enough to be in the store.

I'm going to get some cornbread made to go with the dinner I put in the crock pot this morning. I may have to take a few breaks before it gets in the oven but I will get it done.
