what is the significance of your city that makes people want to watch the eclipse there?

 

I just read that our school students would be kept inside during the eclipse. They are already holding school over an hour late.

Fuck; I'll check my babies out so they can watch it with me.

 

Its just in the direct path of totality, I assume other cities in the direct path are getting lots of visitors too

They cancelled school here the day of the eclipse so students can watch it at home

 

This poor school board gets jumped on for everything they do. I guess they decided to keep them inside "safe" would be the best option to cover their asses.

actually, i'll be working. we're taking a group out on kayaks to watch it from the lake. should be interesting, despite our only getting something like 90% of it up here.

 

I binge watch series on Hulu.

I finished the latest and cannot find another that I like.

I do the t.v. watching to stop my mind so that I can sleep.

I may never sleep again...

I will sleep but I have stuff on my mind and I need to do the watching so the brain does the vegging or I'll toss and turn all night.

I'm doing a final pack before we vacate for a week. Going to miss my boy but he'll be loose on the farm so it will be good for him. Probably get some stricter discipline from my uncle too haha.

We are just taking a small suitcase with a few clothes seeing as it is just a week but I have to bring at least some warm clothes because I'm being told it's still cold in Canberra and Melbourne.

I can't wait to get to Melbourne actually the last time I was there we found and awesome English pub with awesome brisket and I'm very much keen on going there again.

We basically fly into Sydney, sisters are picking us up and road trip back to Canberra which is a few hours. Might be less now I remember lots of road works. Then a quick night with my family before we fly off to Melbourne for the Jerry Seinfeld show, few days in Melbourne, back to family and then rushing back home here.

I used to holiday for 2-4 weeks to see my family but it just isn't an option now with our dog I just don't feel it's fair he is our responsibility and we can't just go traveling whenever we want and have others look after him even though they want to and love him... it just doesn't sit well with me.

I look forward to hopefully seeing some old friends again especially my Laura's hishschool circle which are my friends too. I wanna play one of them in pool. >.< he's going to be fucking shocked when he does too. unless he's secretly gotten better but he hasn't told me. =p I've kept quiet about my fears too. He's goin' down!!

We get to meet my parents dogs too. they have 2 young shepherds.

I just saw the strangest story on local news.

A little boy, maybe 6 years old, wandered into a convenience store at 3 o'clock in the morning and starting eating candy. The police came to check on him and found him barefoot, with small cuts on his face and body. He can only say 3 words to them: "juice", "chicken", and "gorilla". They have no idea who he is or where he came from.

Seeing as I spend a lot of time on boats, i'm surprised this hasnt happened.

 

My Grateful Dead T-Shirt arrived. It's gorgeous if you like that sort of thing. (And I do.) The graphics and print quality are excellent. It's my new thing - collecting band and rock T-shirts.

 

kitchen monster at it again. has been for days. hope that yesterday when she left she wouldnt come back... banging things, screaming . I had to tell the mailman not to call the police they are tried of dealing with her. maybe her yelling will give her a stroke. I have my fingers crossed. name calling is getting old. she has the nerve to come to my work, also nearly getting arrested there also. however it gave my coworkers a clear indication of what Im dealing with. since I have to stay awake sometimes til 3./4 am to be up by 7, cause the troll is wide awake jeopardizing the security of our home. Im actually to the point where I hope she sets the house on fire and I can call it a loss and move on.. she has destroyed two other houses and now working on this one. broken my screen windows, doors, took a hammer to the steel door breaking the lock on it because she lost her key. when all she had to do was wait. leaves the door open with flies all in the kitchen. enough to make me wanna vomit. the further away we get from her the more attention she seeks.. will not do what senior planning given her to do.. Id rather be in Fallujah any day than have to deal with her for another 5mins.

 

Posting on new phone now. My texting is slower because it won't autocorrect on the fly which is actually quite frustrating for me. Like when i type helko like that is nkt a real word and neither is nkt so like why can't it just correct it? And why will it not add the apostrophe etc. On the fly when I type wont dont cant?

It wont even capitalize a single i see it should be a capital.

And they try and tell me we landed a man on the moon with 1960 technology.... does not add up.
