I also found the open casket odd with my grandma.
I didn't get to go to the funeral for my latest grandfather.

 

Few years ago my cousin's husband sits down next to me and says 'well you have been through a lot recently'

I'm thinking, you married into part of my family, part of the family who is uncomfortable talking to me, and you dont know a damn thing about me.

I wanted to say that out loud.

This dude along with the other guy who married in are strait outta the truman show.

I love telling their kids stuff their parents never would... lol

Their Parents can't argue with my truth cause then they would be lying to their kids.

Every funeral I've ever been to has been open casket, but it is weird. I'm not a big fan of the concept, I would rather imagine the person as they were alive instead of their dead body being my last memory of their physical self

 

I've never really thought about it but I agree it is kind of a weird ritual.

Ok, I also am feeling kinda fucked today.
Called about a job prospect and it don't sound all that promising, set my day off to not so great.
Stopped and bought yet another bottle of tequila on the way home and have already consumed half of it, way out of control.
can't really afford to to spend the money, can't really afford the intoxication, why the fuck am I doing it?
gotta play the "Why" game with myself and ask why I feel the need to be intoxicated every friggin' night.

It's a really long story dating back to Nov 2001 and not without legalities attached.

 

Man... and those pee tests is the main reason you switched from pot to tequila? Get that better job soon friend because it already sucks reading it (not saying you should stop sharing your concerns here if it relieves ), let alone experiencing it...! Indulging in tequila at the wrong moment (esp regularly) is good for nothing. Bringing your mind at ease at the end of the day with a good toke is so much better. But yeah, its the circumstances.. I know I'm preaching to the choir

Hope you get that job and possible pee test soon, so you can spend the evening chillin like you prefer again (and of course are less annoyed by job and travel lol ...also not unimportant )

Some people can drink a bottle of tequila in the evening and walk the dog next day perfectly fine (and even feed him ) but yeah.. moderation is what keeps things fun

I think he should also do it for us! And others in his life ...and even a little bit for himself
